@tukalama in plain simple English. You are going to get more efficiency out of your engine and a more efficient engine is a better performing engine. With the CAI you are going to gain MPG's no matter what. It was a nice and significant increase on the gas tank when I was just running with the CAI. As far as the coppers, are more efficient that the iridium's. Yes, Iridium lasts forever, but it's not the most efficient when it comes to scientific research.

Plain and simple the CAI & the Coppers are great simple mods to not only gain some power, but gain some assistance at the pump as well as keep some money in your wallet.

Its been real. Its been fun. Its been real fun.

I'll show myself to the door. I'm drained of constantly coddling disrespectful members and I'm tired of bleaching my white shirt of the blood from biting my tongue anymore. I love the .org, but I'm burnt out. I might be grumpy, but the disrespect of a select few are severely grating and they seem to be growing more and more each day. I'm sorry, I'm not one to bow down to others they deem better than myself.

I tried to help out the .org as much as I could in my time as a 'super moderator'. To be honest my heart isn't in it and I'm exhausted. I signed up to learn which later evolved into helping people via this thread and other various threads. Lately it's been more politics and drama (and I hate using that word). The countless behind the scene battles between moderators, the endless debates on who needs to be banned and who doesn't. The what is "right in ones eyes" is "wrong in the others". The lack of transparency. The joy and fun is gone. I'm not in the mood for drama and politics. There is enough of that on Hulu and Netflix.

I'm proud of the .org I helped foster into a growing and thriving car community for months. We made leaps and bounds together with adding more supporting members to .org. The Chatbox has been an AMAZING experience. We had great intellectual thought provoking conversations, only to be followed up with .gif wars and goofy nonsensical silliness. Hell the Chatbox ushered in the SmokyOwl Show and that should be worth the price of the supporting membership alone. It made my work days go by so fast and I thank all that donated and supported the .org to join the chatbox and learn the other side of us moderators. We're not out to ban anyone or be mean jerk faces. Volunteer Moderators are people and have feelings too.

Speaking of being a "volunteer moderator". I took my job very seriously for the members of the .org. I wanted to gauge the pulse of the community and reflect that accordingly as a moderator. I tried to build this site up as much as I could for Forum Foundry and I tried to make it more navigable for YOU the members of the .org. An easier site for information will only help the community thrive as a whole. The institution of the "google search bar", the quarterly threads, the "how to's". I tired to help out as much as I could and when I could. I'm happy YOU the members accepted these changes to the .org with open arms and a lot of good good feedback was filtered into the site.

As some of you know, I didn't have the luxury of some and be born with a wrench in their hand. I had to earn it and learn it the hard way, as my father would always take the tools out of my hands and tell me he could do it faster. I'm still learning and obtaining valuable under hood hours. @Bullfrog always told me I put more book work and research/study time into my projects than a lot of people would. I did things backwards where I enjoy learning, studying and "book-work" and did the "wrench-time" later. It's who I am as a person.

Me, personally, I bought my Aya 25 days after I was sober. I'm now 874 days sober and don't think of drinking, getting drunk or hiding in a bottle anymore. You guys have helped me along the way. Aya helped me and I learned more about myself to push myself further and farther than I ever thought I could. I never thought I was a "car guy", and I still don't think of myself as a "car guy". I'll live with being an alcoholic for the rest of my life, it's something I must combat each and everyday. I turned to Aya as my outlet. I turned my destructive habit into garage time. A negative into a positive so to speak. Come April 4th, I'm going back to school full-time to fulfill one of my dreams of obtaining my bachelors degree and hopefully continuing in obtaining my masters. Dreams can come true...

In closing, I hope I at least inspired someone out there with my build thread, I know the 2.0L Hyundai PowerTech is still a joke to some and I may not be experienced as the "car guys" out there, but I tried my best with the hand I was dealt. Take this as my resignation from the .org. For those that have my personal information and my friends I've made along the way, I'm forever grateful to you. I've made many lifelong friends from the chat box and on the .org as a whole. You guys are the best. This isn't goodbye, this is just my time to bow out.

Hard work does pay off.

Whoa, you're fingerprints, sweat marks, and brain cells are sprinkled all throughout this forum. You've been an inspiration to many of us. If this is what you're capable of as a an outlet, you'll do well in school. Good luck, and blessings.

Oh, and of course, many thanks!!

I know back when I jumped into this dart org both feet totally clueless as to how much effort is put in to this site . I think I might speak for some of us . In a texting format Anonymous people behind a key board probably forget as I for one forget that some one is there . I once was told not to give up on this site . Just take a break for while you know where all here. Maybe get your degrees come back see how us old darts are doing. I could sense your frustration in earlier post. Congrats on booze quitting. I know how hard it is . Me 30 some odd years hitting hard stuff the 3 J's Jimmy Johnny +jack 8 years now not a drop had to make choice my life or booze. Hopefully my dart last that long as will have no more need for dart info. 80,000 mi now and good luck in all your endeavors . Thank you for all your efforts and information

I know exactly how much work goes into being a moderator @youngsmith53 I've been there myself. Hopefully you enjoy many more happy years with you Dart and more importantly, your Family!

Frankly, I almost quit a few weeks ago. Trying to tell people about cars/parts when they have no clue what they are talking about is very frustrating. I have the Powertech argument almost every month.

You have posted the most helpful information and have helped me quite a bit with the oil filters and copper plugs Thank you x1000!

Please don't go!!!!

It is going to be a completely different .org without the greatness that is @youngsmith53, the constant work that was put in, the help that was given to any and all members... You couldnt have wished for a better person then this to be friends with/ have as a moderator on forum. Always fair, willing to hear out anything that you had questions on, even if it was a question that he had heard numerous times before... Never lost his temper and told newbies to "USE THE DAMN SEARCH BAR!" This is a great man that we are losing as a moderator... and everyone needs to see everything that he has done for this forum... and you will, mark my words... everyone will know when hes gone, things will change. Im not saying for the better or for worse, but things will change...

BTW, @youngsmith53... Im still waiting on when we can reboot YS53 Motorsports! ;)

In all seriousness, though, you have to do what's best for you and your family. Congrats on 875 days of sobriety, on the new job, and on going back to school. Those things truly matter, and they are all things that you achieved. I think I speak for most of us here on the forums and in the chatbox when I say that you'll always be welcome, even just to chill, and that most of us recognize your hard work and dedication to Dodge-Dart.org forum and to the less "sexy" but nevertheless important aspects of the Dart platform (you could build a mystic pyramid of lubrication out of your oil filter collection). So take care of yourself man!

@youngsmith53, I don't know how you did it for as long as you did it. Wish you were still moding but like many of the others have said, you need to do what's best for you and your family. Many, many thanks...

@youngsmith53 you will be missed as will all your hard work as a moderator. I don't agree with all your points but I don't believe you expect every one to. Each person has their own reality and are affected personally from that reality. man, that sounds like I am saying you're crazy, I am not in least implying that. My point is that everyone takes situations differently. And though we did not always see eye to eye, I can say I respect you and all your hard work you have done on the .org and off of it - in the things you have shared here.

A true loss, even in my short time here I can see the presence you've had in every part of the .org. As a former administrator of a board about a quarter the size of this one, I know what it's like; congratulations on your lengthy sobriety and all the things you have/are en route to achieving. All the best to you and yours in all future endeavors - I'll be hoping for a day where you pop back with something new and exciting for us here at the .org. Cheers, YoungSmith53!

i dont know the politics or drama of this board. and i think i speak for everyone with a 2.0, we should put the negative feelings aside and lock/sticky this thread, there's so much information here that we cant just let it die, but we also shouldnt let it go on for page and page and page and page of nonsense that has nothing to do with Aya or youngsmith.

I'm glad to hear you're doing so well with your sobriety. positive thoughts are yours my friend. Good luck with all of your future endeavors.

I'm back (for the time being)

I'm back for the time being; yes, I'm still a moderator as I have talked with @cereal killer about my place on the .org. I won't go into specifics at this time, but I'll be here to update the build thread. I might not be on as much as I was in the past, the .org might not be cleaned and polished as it was when I was on all the time; BUT like I said I'll be here to help out those and keep updating the build thread. With that being said...

K750697 = LEFT REAR (qty 1)
K750696 = RIGHT REAR (qty 1)

If you remember ALLLLLLL the way back to October 27, 2015 I emailed Federal Mogul on the available on these here. Well, Tuesday March 1, 2016, Rock Auto sent me the email that they were finally released and in stock. Of course I ordered immediately as seen here and because of the fast shipping from Rock Auto, I received them yesterday. Here are some pics...

That is only one of the sides as I didn't take pics of both. Yes, they have the proper pitch and angle for their respective sides they go on. To be honest they are even more solid and to me they weigh more than the fronts. Now, this might be the case since they are smaller, but you can tell in my front MOOG review (seen here & here) that the Federal Mogul brand is just built that much better than what is currently on the market for our Darts.

The rears will complement your stock OEM sway bar or the aftermarket rear sway bar of your choice. Since these are built with OEM specs in mind we won't have the issues like we did in the past with other third party endlinks failing. In addition since they are MOOG problem solver series they come standard with ZERK grease fittings so you are able to eliminate those noises that might arise between maintenance periods to give you a nice peace of mind when it comes to your suspension. Remember YOUR SUSPENSION IS A SYSTEM treat it as such!!!

In conclusion, I haven't installed them yet. Nor have I gotten a chance to take the scale out and weigh them like I did the fronts, when I compared them to the other aftermarket brand and the OEM's. That will come soon enough. I have a business trip I need to take next week and maybe when I get back I will get a chance to do some more comparisons with the MOOG's over the other options.

Until then... stay tuned.

oooo. Glad you came back. It would've sucked not seeing Aya's build continue, at the very least. I can understand where you're coming from on the other stuff, trust me. So do the other mods, I'm sure. Feel free to send some stuff my way if you ever need someone else to deal with an issue. I'm not on here as much as I used to be either, because I don't have a Dart anymore, mostly.

I will be ordering these and the rear sway bar shortly!

Glad to see that you're around for the time being @youngsmith53 :)

Are the boots on those end links rubber, or polyurethane?
polyurethane, no rubber boots. I haven't had a chance to get under or perform spring maintenance on Aya (we sill have snow on the ground), but I have a feeling the front boots are holding up just fine being poly and the rears won't have any other issues as well. I'll take some pics once I perform the spring greasing on the fronts and the initial greasing on the MOOG rears as well as the Energy Suspension rear Sway Bar bushings.

@youngsmith53

I just bought a 2013 Dart. It's a red SXT Rallye with a tiger shark 2.0 engine. Mostly, I want to fix the gas pedal (having to push it half way down and then ending up blasting off at 30 MPH with 5000-6000 RPM some times even 7000.) That is my immediate need, but I also want to make it louder, not like a rice maker but more like a muscle car. I was hoping for a blow out valve but sadly they seem to only be made for the 1.4 turbocharged. So here's the golden question, what mods do you suggest to make it louder and fix that pathetic throttle lag. By the way, my Dart is sadly in the shop due to my panicing quick exit into a parking lot where I hit a curb and removed the passenger side wheel, boot, control rod, break line, and axel rods(Yeah, I almost cried.) I'm 21, first car, give me a break on the stupid mistake I learned from. Good thing is it isn't totaled, bad news is it's in the shop until the 31st. So I have a lot of time for collecting these parts. I just don't know what to get or where to start. Any help is appreciated!

1.4 is the only model of dart with a turbo so you won't find a blow out valve for 2.0 or 2.4.

As far as pedal lag, http://roadracemotorsports.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1939 plenty of members with this installed with good results.

As far as sound, intake and exhaust upgrades are what you should be looking at.

http://www.hpsimotorsports.com/#!hpsi-silicone-air-intake-system-dodge-da/cmhu
I can't recommend enough , my favorite mod on my car, the sound alone makes it worth the price.

http://www.heartthrobexhaust.com/2007260p.html great sounding exhaust , nothing close to "ricer" sounding , no drone , only downside I have seen so far is you hear slightly more noise from the rear then the intake .

Feel free to do your own research, other cheaper /more expensive options for intake/exhaust. There is also http://madnessgopedal.com/ for pedal lag (like the pulley) but I don't have it so I can't speak to how well it works or not.
