the metal part of the mount itself is pretty beefy, but the way they made the rubber parts its supper flimsy! i already have the stock shift knob on my desk at work, i dont think my boss would take kindly car parts everyplace but it would make a nice paperweight.

@KYRGYZ nice, I saw you got some goodies that are on my to do list as well (bwoody links and Eibach rear sway) let us know how those work for ya. They're more than likely goin' on Aya in the spring as well as H&R's.

Trust me, I understand 110% the toolbox pain. I go through it every time I try and install something :)

@youngsmith53 just received my rear mount from @DeyemeRacing and it's HUGE lol I didn't think it's that big haha and kinda stinky, opened it in my office and it was a mistake hahaha
The rear mount for the Fiat 500 is tiny. It's like a skinny, tiny, stretched out version of the Dart mount. Not sure why it would smell unusual- maybe something it rode in the truck with?

@DeyemeRacing , mine smelled like blueberries since it was ice blue... *rim-shot* *sad trombone* lol

Anyone installing the Bwoody end links, I'm curious to know the weight of them. We're prototyping adjustable end links, and I'd like to see how ours compare to other aftermarket ones (we already have the stock ones to measure). The Bwoody ones look a lot beefier than the wimpy stock pieces.

Yeah, I won't be upgrading anything suspension related until we thaw out next year in PA. So, I'll be on the look out for your as well once the time comes :)

Same here. We've been prototyping individual components (our rear sway bar bushings and billet bushing brackets are on the car right now and will be through the winter) and will create a complete "install kit" for the front and rear bars after we decide who's bars to use, and do our own complete install. We won't be manufacturing our own sway bars, since there are already a lot of companies that do that. The rest of the components tend to get skipped or skimped on, so that's where I think we can make the most improvement.

@DeyemeRacing , I'll be on the look out for them. I think I am only going with the Rear's as I really don't see a need for the fronts (more or less over-kill). But, I am really looking forward to truing up the suspension aspect of her. Thanks as always for all ya do to help out our growing community... I'm sure in the spring you'll be seeing another order from me :)

PS... ya really need to get some vinyl work done for stickers. Would love to represent some Deyeme Racing on Aya :)

H2O was an underrated Hall & Oates album

"H2O is certified double platinum by the RIAA with sales of over two million copies. The album title is a play on the chemical formula for water, where "H" is for Hall, and "O" is for Oates." (credit Wikipedia)

It was 80*F (!!!) yesterday in South Central PA... hence why I am speaking about H2O and if ya'll remember the album cover, it was covered in sweat. Heat = Sweat... get it?

Anyway now that you have humored me in dealing with my 80's music, the real beef of this was post was yesterday gave a GREAT test of how the cooler held up against the higher outside temps. End of October, you don't normally see 80*F+ in South Central PA, so I was super excited to see how the cooler performed!

Evening commute
10/28/2014 16:14 - starting miles 14,776 - outside temp 80*F - transmission temp - 80*F
10/28/2014 16:57 - ending miles 14,811 - outside temp 80*F - transmission temp - 153*F

To the Historical Data!!!

Exact 80*F outside ending temp 183*F - 153*F (yesterday) = 30*F cooler

1 degree difference @ 79*F outside ending temp 185*F - 153*F (yesterday) = 32*F cooler

1 degree difference @ 79*F outside ending temp 184*F - 153*F (yesterday) = 31*F cooler

1 degree difference @ 79*F outside ending temp 196*F - 153*F (yesterday) = 43*F cooler

2 degree difference @ 78*F outside ending temp 196*F - 153*F (yesterday) = 43*F cooler

This hopefully helps y'all out there in the warmer weather states with crazy hot temps all year round. I know a bunch of y'all out there have expressed interest in this mod, and here is the proof that is does indeed work. I know the colder temps I was seeing upwards of 70 degree differences, but the 30-40 degree drop in the warmer weather is such a welcome surprise.

Best part is even at the 153*F ending transmission temps, she was still pulling as much (and as hard) as she was when I pulled out of work. No drop in performance like I have seen in the past with the higher 180*F plus temps in the transmission. When it was hotter outside it almost felt like there was a cinder-block underneath my gas pedal and she wouldn't take off and the gears just slugged a long. I saw absolutely none of that last night on my commute and she was purring right along.

The transmission cooler is worth it, the data is backing up the performance. Lets face it, you don't want to be like Hall an Oates sweating your power-tech transmission...

stay tuned...

What did you use as the full hole for the trans fluid
Im on my phone, but it's page 33 of the build thread, post date 10-19-2013 15:42... Pics/diagrams an everything.

Okayy sounds good and do you know if there is any kind of governoring chip or anything that restricts our car from going a certain speed
It's a little different with each car. It seems to range from 117-120 MPH.
