What is the best touch-Up used for the coated hyper-black wheels on the 2016 GT?
Mysteriously , something bit my wheel. I'm not sure if its all the way to the alloy possibly just the coating.

Best thing I can think of would be to find someone that does wheel repair. By me there is a guy that does it fairly cheap. He works out of his car too, so he comes to your wherever you are. My friend (she is a pretty bad driver when it comes to curbing wheels), just about all her wheels were pretty messed up. One was to the point of no return or so i thought. This guy came out, fixed every one up to look brand new. I was amazed. All he does is sand it down, repaint and re clear. I think, I don't actually know the way he did it, but that is what I believe he does.

Cool thing is he charges 75$ a wheel, but only if they are really bad. If it's only a nick here and there he might only charge like $40 or $30. A body shop would also do it, but it might be much more pricey.

I know they don't make hyper black touch up paint. If they do someone please link me to it, because one of my dealer screwed my wheel up and does not want to take blame for it. They sent me to their detail guy, and he was going to fix it but said that there is no touch up paint from the factory like that, so he couldn't do anything.

Hyperblack is a unique finish. It's basically a multi-layer finish of gloss black and silver which is hard to reproduce out of a can of touch-up. I looked around my area for a shop that could fix the damage on my wheels, but nobody could do it that I trusted. In the end I just bought a couple of replacement wheels on eBay for a good price.

Something you could do however is get a small bottle of dark silver touch-up paint from the local auto parts store, which would likely be close enough that the damage wouldn't be noticeable. Unfortunately you're going to be forever touching up your wheels and body of your car however, because Darts seem to be stone chip magnets. Mine is only two years old yet already has more pock marks all over it than my 18 year-old Jeep.

I'm not talking about the coating, I'm talking about the fact that a rock strike on the highway will actually tear a chunk out of the aluminum in the spokes. I have a few chips like the OP does, along with a larger one. All were caused by rock strikes. My car has 38,000kms on it. When I had my Ford Contour, the painted 5-spoke aluminum wheels were not damaged after 160,000kms, though there were obviously a few scratches in the paint.

Thanks all. Well, i'll definitely get another set of wheels someday if they get crazy chewed up. Until then, i'll touch up with paints but not to the point where i'd make it worse or more noticeable. My little nick there is very small but i just wanna get out in front of this if possible.

These GT wheels chewed up still look better than most cars wheels brand new...thats the upside of this. :)
