Well my wife suprised me with an early Christmas gift and got me the Injen CAI for "Aya". Here are some pics of the before and after from the install yesterday.

Man does that sound good after we installed it. The only main problem with the install was removal of the stock air resonator. That took us probably up to an hour to finagle it out of her. We ended up just taking the front passenger tire off and removing the plastic wheel well to get full access to it , once we did that it worked like a charm and the rest of the CAI was a breeze. My buddy who owns a 1.4 Rallye Turbo was impressed with the sound and immediate pick up from a stand still. Very impressed to say the least...

BUT WE DIDN'T STOP THERE...

I got tired of being a driving Billboard and the size of the Dealership sticker was driving me nuts for the past month since I got her. Something needed to be done:

So much cleaner look makes me feel so much better about the overall look, especially with these add ons :D

Sorry for so many pictures, but I thought you all would like to see first changes of Aya. Only having her for a month today (brought her home 10/11/2013) she is finally getting her personality and the CAI just makes her purr even more. Thanks for welcoming a newbie car guy to the forums and in such a short time you all have made me feel home.

Thanks,
Joshua

looks good too, but i'm a little biased too... first thing i did was take off the dealer plates.... they did no favors for me, and i refused to advertise for them

For the show-n-shine kid, what does that thing do?

So how did you get that off, Joshua?

CAI help out with feeding your engine cooler, cleaner air, for an improved air/fuel mixture. It helps out with MPG's as well as HP with more quality air getting to the engline.

So how did you get that off, Joshua?
With the sticker, all we did was gracefully with a heat gun we heated up the sticker and then with a plastic razor blade peeled back the sticker. Once completely off I took some de-tar (or goo gone/tint remover if you have it) and went over the rest of the residue until it was all gone.

Thanks for all of the great responses back. I didn't mean to post and bolt last week, but I had training all week here at work and this week I'll be back in the forums more regularly.

As far as the MPGs I am seeing a great improvement with it getting colder here in South Central PA. I hyper-miled her on my way to work last week and was averaging just over 36 MPGs where before the CAI I was getting just over 31. So not bad at all... also I see the performance improvement with her when getting off the line against my buddies 1.4L Turbo. I will get a video of the sound because boy does she sound mean now :D

@Ravesoe, check out this conversation starting here at post #915 of the build thread. That should give you a heads up on what my thoughts are with the injen vs the spectrum when first starting out. Hope all is well and thank you for the complements.
