Dayna,I recently have had this same issue. I noticed it on the weekend and then today on my way home from work. I will record it when I see it next and will be taking it into the Dodge Dealership.
what color pillar you have? how much you gonna sell it and the gauge for? They said since I had a gauge hooked up to OBDII and interior leds that they would have to charge me for problem analysis, of course an arm and a leg. Im going to sell my aeroforce gauge and pillar anyways. Just waiting on a new stock a pillar. I just am going to take it to a different dealer stock so they cant say anything of the sort. I have not had it easy with dodge dealerships.
At the dealer I should add my USB, voice recorder, phone button, and pairing also wasn't working. Also tire pressure light on, tires are exactly 34 lbs.
jbow42029,I'm going to have to give a shout out for Mullane Motors in Lockport NY for fixing my car even with 39000 miles and out of warranty. And I also have to tell you something odd. They said that static electricity can also be the reason your car won't preform correctly. I don't know if that is a line of crap or if it could really confuse radio frequencies. When I get the paperwork I'll post all the problems the BCM detected.
The issue is you need a proxi alignment I believe they call it. It's some update or flash they need to do because the miles on the odometer don't match the ecu or something like that. I could be wrong on that explanation, but it's happened a lot. I mainly saw it in the posts about those without the TFT digital screen (on the GT and Limited) were upgrading from the basic cluster to the premium. The miles were different and they flashed. I've also seen it happen with other things. The dealer should be able to simply fix it.In googling 2013 Dodge Dart Odometer Blinking, it brought me to this thread. I just picked up my Dart SXT from the dealer I bought it from back in Feb. of 2013. I had it in for service and repairs today and on my way home, I noticed the odometer blinking. I took the car in for what was supposed to be a 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour repair. I will go backwards 1 step to explain why I was in for service... Back last year, I complained that the right rear speaker sounded like it was blown. I took it to the dealer and they diagnosed it to be a bad speaker, which they ordered. A couple weeks later, so I made an appt. for the speaker replacement and on the appointed day, they replaced the speaker. It sounded like it was better, so I was satisfied. A couple of months go by, and one day I noticed that rumbling again and isolated it to the right rear door speaker again. However, it was intermittent and until they could verify it, they wouldn't order any other parts. Finally, in Feb. 2015, I was driving by the dealership and it reminded me of the speaker issue, which by chance was at this moment, making the rumbling noises. I talked to service and they said there was a bulletin for this and if the speaker doesn't fix it, to replace the radio module. I needed an oil change anyways, so I made an appt. and they got the necc. information to order the radio. A few days later, I came for my appt. and after about an hour, they determined that it was not a 1-1 1/2 hour repair and needed to keep the car. I picked up the car today, 2/16/15, and before I left the dealership, I realized that there were multiple issues with the radio and heater controls with the new unit. I now have to take the car back on 2/18/15, so they can figure out why the back-up camera is not working, the heater controls are not working right, and the ODOMETER IS FLASHING. I sure hope that they can determine what has caused all these problems, especially since the right rear speaker is still rumbling.....
as with all CUSW (compact US wide) vehicles most modules (bus nodes) on the Dart require PROXI alignment procedure after replacement/update in order to learn the vehicle configuration from the BCM. sounds like they skipped this step when they replaced your radio. any PROXI alignment issues will cause the odometer to flash. In googling 2013 Dodge Dart Odometer Blinking, it brought me to this thread.
