Seriously, what's a go pedal and how does it work?

Is it like a tuner?

It's an electronic device that plugs in to the gas pedal harness at the firewall just above the pedal. It can be programmed to give you quicker throttle response by telling the ECU and throttle body that the pedal is being depressed differently than what you are actually doing. There are different names for this device also. Go-Pedal, Sprint Booster, Pedal Box, etc. Overall it just bull shits the engine electronics and isn't really worth the $200 plus price tag that they come with. I used Tork's Pedal Box for about a week and now it just sits in the box on a shelf. Even in the Economy Mode I lost an average of 2 MPG with it plugged in. Really, if you want to spend that kind of money just go and purchase a lightweight pulley, not the under drive one, but direct OEM size. You will get the quicker throttle response and will not see any ill effects as to your average MPG, however there is a big WOW factor and you may find yourself driving faster and enjoying the new feel of power that the engine delivers.
But that is my personal biased opinion.
