Just picked up ghost shadow door kit. I'm going to install Sunday can't wait. Will post pics of install

I have ordered this as well, but mine will say Dart instead of Dodge.

 

I'm excited! I'd like to do this although I'm afraid of putting any holes in my car.

 

what is the price on something like that?

That's cool. I was at the warehouse today they told me they have mopar and Dodge molar was blue white Dodge was black red and my dart is blacked out with red led lights the Dodge matched I also ordered some that says Distys audio and my phone # good advertisement I'm gonna put a set in mine and my wife's darts thought about having a drawing and giving a set away with free install don't know exactly. About the drawing but me and wife trying work something out

those are the ones I bought.

 

Problem is folks, where are you going to wire it in from? you're going to have to "splice" into the door wiring which is dangerous or run a separate +/- wire which isn't worth the hassle....

 

I believe the instructions state that you wire it into the door, so that it turns on when door opens. but I haven't gotten mine yet. I will post up pics/steps when I do.

 

Its not that bad door ajar located on door latch haven't got around to look to see how I'm going to do it but its a mod. When you mod stuff you always take a chance. I install radio's, hid,led,this might go easy or not I'm up for a challenge

Yes you have to tap power from door but you need to tap the door ajar that way they only come on when door opens that is located at the door latch in the door

 

I would not really know - I am far from being an electrician - I am hoping the things come with adequate instructions - if not, I will not be installing them.

yea, but it seems to say that you only need to connect it to the door wires - so that should be simple right?

 

Sounds simple but remember there is alot of wire windows,locks,mirrors, most of them have power as soon as the car is started. I don't want my lights on every time I start my car that's why I'm going to try to hook mine to the door ajar when you open the door that's what tells Your dome lights to come on. When I do mine ill post pics. I used a pen and pushed the latch on the door and the dash said my door was closed pulled handle it said door was open that's stood start. On the weekend I install car audio,led lights,and done a few hid in older trucks I mostly sale car audio but will install depending on vehicle.
