I haven't...but contact Chrysler..they will expedite things....they did for me.....my alternator went bad on my car and the dealership said it would be about a week/week in a half.....I contacted Chrysler and it took about 2 days tops to get things fixed....

 

This is a problem happing to many, some new fixes are coming for serveral issues with the darts

 

My check engine light and the traction control light came on. The car started running like it was missing. The dealer said it was a coil. The problem I have is the asked if I wanted to pick it up or leave it until the got the part. OK I don't think I should be driving a car with a bad coil, miss firing. Then when I told them No and I'm going to need a car the gave me a hard time. I think they should have put me in another car right away. Hell I only bought 3 cars from there in less then a year... I'm not sure I'm walking away from Dodge again, but defiantly going with a different dealer.

 

It will keep happening

My car has the same issue, which is that the MAP controller (engine pressure) goes haywire and the engine goes into Limp mode. Been to the dealership about this. A flash is now expected in Q1 2013. It will keep happening. For me it has happened every two weeks on Friday for six weeks. They told me (after much arguing about safety) that if if happens and you can't pull over, to put the car in neutra, turn off the engine, restart, then put into drive. Did that today and it worked. Sweet car!

 

I have been having the same issues. The code has to do with the throttle pedal voltage mismatch. Typically there are 2 signals from the gas pedal to the ECU and the ECU to the throttle body. This is for redundancy in the even that something happens to one of the signal lines, the car doesn't take off. As such these signals have to match. The the ECU see a variance it will throw a code. I've had to take the large connector off the ECU so many times to clear this code that I accidently broke the lever action on the wiring harness connector. I've held off on taking it in for service because I heard about the upcoming flash to correct it.

 

Any news on the flash? This is getting annoying

 

Very annoyed. My dart has 5200 miles on it and this is happening to me, as well. Today is the coldest it's been since I got the car (32 degrees) but I gave the car plenty I warm up time and was driving nice and slowly. The car started shaking and jolting and then all of the lights went on. I actually now work at the dealership that I bought my car from, hopefully getting it fixed this week.. Can't have an unreliable car, which is exactly why I bought the dart. Ironic, huh?

 

Same issue happened to me Saturday night, the car is at the Stealership right now, still waiting.... Returned from dealer, they said it needed some upgrades and did some flashes and said I should be all good....

 

2 weeks ago I was driving to work when all three of these lights came on. Car sounded like it was about to shutoff. So i shutoff car and started it back up. That took care of the ETC and Stability light however the check engine light was still on. So, being that there is only about 3000 miles on the car i took it to the dealership. They kept it overnight and apparently had to contact Dodge. When they finally called me they said that a software update at the end of January would solve this. That's fine, however last night I was driving and it happened again. This time i was in traffic and it was pretty dangerous considering when this happens the car becomes hard to drive. So I pulled off and shutoff and restarted car, which took car of those two lights again. The check engine light is still on though. Just wondering if anyone is having a similar problem?[/Q

The EXACT same thing happened to me last night on my 2013 Dart...it's in Service now...hopefully they can figure out issue

 

Considering the lack of follow ups on here I am sure they will get your Dart all fixed and ready for the road.

 

I now work at the dealership that I bought my car at, so they brought it in for service the next day I was scheduled. By the time I brought it in, only the check engine light was on, and they said they were able to get it to turn off, which they did. They also said there were some updates they preformed, and that was all they could do. Brought my dart home and haven't had another problem with it, but the dart hasn't been driven in 30's weather since then. Am (sadly) definitely anticipating having the same problem again when the weather drops to 30's and below this winter. Definitely worried about it. Will post again when/if I have the problem again..

 

I was driving our '13 Dart yesterday and this same thing happened. I pulled over and re-started the car. The engine ran smoothly after the restart and only the engine light stayed on for a few more hours. It reset itself the same day. The temperature here was in the 70's so I don't think temperature has anything to do with it. I made an appointment at the dealership to have them look at it. I'll provide an update after they look at it.

 

The check engine light and traction control light just came on in my 2013 dodge dart tonight. It's about 70 degrees outside here also. The temperature feels great. I drove this all winter long when the temps were down in the single digits and it was fine. I'm now at approximately 2800 miles and as I was driving through the parking lot at wal-mart tonight the traction control light came on. I thought to myself "that's weird" and went inside to do my shopping. I came back out, got in my car and after starting it the check engine light came on also and stayed on.... I was able to get home but I'm a little concerned.

 

Mine did it this morning, as I was backing into my parking spot at work. 6600 miles, 2014 Dart GT. I'll be stopping at the dealership after work today.

 

You will find lots of things like this will happen with your car. I have a 2013 Limited SE with the 1.4t and DDCT. I have had many similar issues and they clear themselves up before you can get to the dealer... If the lights are out when you do arrive at the dealer they will simply tell you they can't do anything, because they can not duplicate the problem or they can not find any problems. Sometimes they will say or actually do software updates that may or may not fix the problem. My car has 25K on it and I've owned it since new. Good luck and hopefully they can get all computers running smooth.

 

That was about fantastic. All three service writers refused to even move from their desk, stated "Well, you can drop it off and the earliest we can get to it will be late Tuesday. If you wait, then it pushes back when we can look at it."

When I asked if they could scan it, the response was "well, that doesn't really tell you anything." Leave the 90's and step into the 21st century, boys. I don't think you truly understand what the PCM can tell you.

Time to make a call to Corporate care. sigh

 

I don't know if most people have noticed this observation. It doesn't matter the field, food service, service, sales etc because the economy sucks and every company is trying to save money by cutting corners. in food service its smaller portions and lesser quality, in grocery stores its less checkers & less selection and higher prices, In insurance they turn down more claims or pay out less. Its happening all around us. In New cars they are cutting service. Even the military is cutting corners by reducing ranks and closing bases. We are a shrinking nation. I bought 2 new cars in 2013 (my GF & I). I think these are the last new cars I will ever buy. I will buy lightly used cars in the future but not new. If my service department treated me like that I would be very upset and find another dealer. Likely you are seeing a dealer service department that is overwhelmed and understaffed.

 

I am having the exact same issues... was told by dealership 120 cost for diagnostic testing had to be done before warranty coverage... Powertrain warranty is only warranty I have left.. anyone else run into this issue and if so was powertrain warranty coverage applied? Don't understand why Dodge cant address these issues when they have been ongoing for years since first model came out. Slowly losing faith in Dodge.

 

I am having the same issues described in this thread by the users. I was at a light stopped pending a left turn, when the car threw on both lights along with the orange check engine light and felt unresponsive and began to sputter. I quickly turned off the car and restarted it which seemed to solve the issues but since a code was activated the check engine light is still illuminated. I would greatly appreciate an update from any of the previous users as to what the fix was and what exactly is the issue.

I still have the power train warranty and the corrosion warranty. Do either of these apply to this issue? If not, how much did the fix cost. And how long did it take to fix? Thank you in advance for anyone's response!
