I never thought the build thread would get to 70+ pages and I would do as much research as I have, so to help everyone out I would index the build thread for easier access for everyone to obtain the information they are looking for... enjoy

Back-pressure is a Myth!!!
: What the NA's want it's not "back-pressure", its exhaust velocity. NA's are designed for proper flow of gas-speed may exhibit some degree of "back-pressure" as a necessary evil or result or side-effect, but "back-pressure" in and of itself is NOT a good thing. The larger the exhaust pipe is on an N/A engine the gases slow down & get all swirly, actually causing more "back-pressure". Where with the NA's we want to exit the gases as fast as possible not slow down and create the "back-pressure".

Copper Spark Plugs:
Simply put, Copper spark plugs burn cleaner and have a hotter spark with a more efficient burn. Copper's aren't going to raise your HP numbers. The spark is easier made because the copper is more conductive that the iridium... easier spark, less obtuse idle, not more HP, but a more efficient burn of the spark equaling better pedal performance.

Chapter 3 - Suspension:
The overall saying goes on a FWD car that an upgraded rear is light years ahead of both front and rear upgrades. Pretty much you are canceling out the benefits of the rear (with adding an upgraded front sway) bringing the un-needed understeer back to the car. Rule of thumb is do the rear and see if you need to do the front sway. Also, it's been floated multiple times to just drop and eliminate the front sways on FWDs cars to improve handling. Chapter 4 - Active Grille Shutters (AGS) experimentation:
The Active Grille Shutters or AGS are there for aerodynamics... but, not for "power". The AGS fins when closed direct air flow to bottom of the car for aerodynamics, but as a result they also close off the radiator, which in turn is not getting cold air, thus affecting the MPG's equaling a hotter engine. A hotter engine raises the internal temperatures thus raising the MPG's. Edmunds does a good job stating this here: Active Grille Shutters Are Latest Way To Improve Fuel Efficiency | Edmunds.com

Simply put: Cold Air = Less MPG, but more power / Warm Air = More MPG's, but less power.

The reason you want to open up the AGS is to let the engine breath and get air into the engine, I currently run with 6 AGS fins deleted along with the oil drain panel removed from the Aero plate. The oil panel once removed acts like a vacuum to pull air through the radiator and through the engine bay thus increasing engine cooling. Doing this I was still able to get upwards to 35 MPGs per tank in my lowly ol 2.0. Hopefully this helps ya understand what we're trying to accomplish here as it is a "practical cheap mod" to get a different effect on the engine...

Here are the view little vinyl touches that I did for Aya. I always loved how the Daytona Charger's had the script they did with the "Daytona" on the rear quarter panels. With the Citrus Peel color I knew it would look sweet and just pop. So the wife and I were able to get some to exact specs with the font, length and height that the "Daytona" is made from. So here ya go...

Yeah I love the Husky's so far, they do a great job with the coverage and just overall perfect design and from what I was reading a lot easier to clean than the weathertechs.

As far as the dip, I am just going to do the rear emblems to go along with the SXT Wing which is mirror black, so I figured some Black Plasti-Dip and some Gloss and I'll be good. I was thinking about Dipping my tails, but PA is just a pain with things like that, I am not even going to go that route.

Sharkfin, ehh... I've sorta grown to love the little RC car antenna.

With all of this talk about Sharkfins and antennas, I just picked up the following for $7.99:

ANTENNA.JPG

only about 2.25" tall so a lot smaller than the current one, not bad at all for the price

you won't get reception very well, but it looks a lot better than the stock one.

I had one of these at first, then I splurged on the CravenSpeed Stubby Antenna. reception is almost perfect now.

Yeah, I don't listen to the local stations at all, I'm always on the Sirius/XM or my ipod classic, so I shouldn't be too bad with it all. I was looking into the CravenSpeed one, but as always cutting costs here an there is good for me.

Officially despising winter in PA. All I want to do is finish the build, but Mother Nature has other thoughts (as well as my twin 1 year old girls and 7 year old son).

Trying to be patient sucks when I see all mods and tunes and no time to be able to do it :-/

Added the stubby antenna and my one Mopar sticker. I could only add the Mopar sticker on the drivers side since the one on the passenger side decided to tear in half.

Also yes, I know the sticker is crooked. I tried to line it up with the body lines of her.
