I just purchased a 2014 Dart 2.0L with a little over 50k miles on it. It was sitting at a dealership for almost five years while the owner, who brought it in for routine service, abandoned the car.
After storage fees added up the dealership took ownership and sold it to one of their employees who had a long commute. They flushed everything (brakes, coolant, fuel) and serviced it with new sparkplugs and brakes and a serpentine belt.
After three months of daily driving the employee subsequently transferred to a dealership closer to home and doesn't need it now. Drives fine so far for me?
I'm building a to-do list of things to check and so far I have: transmission fluid drain and refill and inspect motor mounts. What else should I add?
I would like to add an aftermarket backup camera and LCD screen to the list as well, does anyone have suggestions? The car came with the standard CD player and radio.
I've had my first mechanical failure; the driver's side sun visor fell out of its post. Ebay has replacements for $30, these can't be that tough to install?
