These cars are insanely safe in a crash. Mine made it to 260,000 then I had to put her to sleep. I apparently went off the road, jumped it, flipped it and took out a tree. All I remember is waking up being helped to the curb.
Only got a stiff neck that is still recovering. She was upside down when I looked up from the curb. She will be missed.

Looks like it did its job. Also looks like it was in great shape beforehand - especially for 260k! Glad you are mostly unharmed, as the car sure took a beating for you!

I can too attest to the safety of occupants while going 30 through a 4 way signal controlled intersection I was T-boned by an Avalon doing 50 and all I saw was headlights aiming for my head I tried all I could in a split second dropped into 2nd double cluched to try to slip out from disaster but not in time luckily my head wasn't in impact zone but my t pillar and frame were done I'm guessing probably about the same amount of force although a tree is a rather solid object.
