Hey everyone hope all is going well, I've got a few questions regarding tire suggestions for some rims I was lucky enough to purchase on the Forum. The wheels are the 18" Gloss Black Rims that come on the Mopar 13, I'll be adding them to my header orange dart, and I can't wait! I really want an upgrade over the stock tires I have now, which are on the 17" hyper black rallye rims. What brand tire do you guys recommend for a driver who resides in Virginia, and I won't be adding these wheels and tires until about February. I really would like to hear some experiences from new tires you guys have bought and enjoyed or hated, honest opinions are always the best! Have a great day everyone and happy holidays.

If you are looking for an all-season tire that can handle some snow (not sure about the climate in VA, I'm Canadian), I recently put the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S on my 18" wheels. They are a fantastic upgrade from OEM, though there is more road noise at highway speeds and I believe they reduce fuel economy somewhat. I believe that @Exitus04 has the summer-only version (BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2) of this tire in 17" size, and I know he loves it as well. These are relatively modestly priced tires, as well.

Well like @jsblanch said... we both have the BF-Goodrich g-Force series tires... He has the all season version and I have the summer only version... What you want in a tire all depends on how you are going to use them... If these are going to be your only rims (meaning you are not going to change rims during the winter) then an all season tire would be better for you! BUT, if youre going to use both sets of rims then I would recommend a set of summer tires on these beautiful 18" rims and then keep the stock tires on your 17" rims for the summer. ITs all personal preference when it comes to which tire you want at the end of the day. The BF-Goodrich g-Force sport COMP-2 tires changed the way that I was able to drive my dart! They stick to the ground so much better then the stock tires and are not that expensive! Idk if you have a discount tire where you live in virginia, but they have a great warranty which will cover the life of the tire and give you free rotation and balancing for the life of the tires!

An all season would be the way I'd go due to Virginias ever changing weather, but thank you both for the honest and wonderful reviews. I'm not going to be keeping the stock 17" because my buddy who has the plain stock sxt rims has already called dibs, and I think they'll look way better on his white dart. I really wanted the gloss black from my original purchase but my impatience got the best of me, I'll have to stop by discount tire for a price quote and labor including the tpms swap. Thank you both!

Honestly, you shouldnt have to swap the tpms... if you bought the rims from Dodge didnt they come with new tpms? IF not, those damn things are stupid expensive :(... I guess i got lucky, when i bought the rallye rims from @yodamusic he was kind enough to give me an offer i couldnt refuse... ;) He gave me the rims, tpms and tires for an around $420 (i think... honestly cant remember)

It's possible I wasn't clear lol, I bought the set of rims off the forum with the valve stems knowing I could just swap the tpms sensors from my hyper blacks. Then when I hand over my hyper blacks to my buddy he's gonna swap his tpms over from his plan silver wheels and nobody will need any new sensors, everyone wins! :D

I run General G-Max AS-03 on both of my Darts. They are an excellent tire IMO. Probably not the best all season tire even though they are rated as one. Because I live in the mountains, I run winter tires to get up the steep hills.

Do you happen to have some pictures? Curious of the width you have with the all season and how they look on the car.

I don't have any pictures, but they're the OEM 225/40-R18 size. I'll try to get some pictures (although my car is filthy, snow rain and salt will do that to a black car). They are actually physically wider than the OEM Continentals and wider than the rim. This is great if you ever rub up on a curb.

That's fine man, although your weather situation sounds terrible! I think I've got what I need, I found the BF Goodrich Comp2 A/S for 118.20 a tire on tirerack.com and that's cheaper than anyone else in my area. Thanks for the advice and help everyone!

love it! did you buy black door handles and black side view mirrors, or did you paint them yourself? looks great man! consider the deyeme front license plate bracket... <img src="http://www.dodge-dart.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=58145"/>
I did buy the black door handles and the install was pretty straight forward with another person, and I found the mirrors on here from another member for 100. Thank you though I've waited a long time for the free money to put them on! But I've considered it and I want the mopar front lip so I'm 99% sure it won't fit with it. Love your white dart though, it always catches my eye! What model year do you have? It looks like a 13 but I'm not sure.

@pkgmsu2000 You got a white Dart as well! Heck ya man! I wish my front bumper came with that top portion black like yours. Mine is all white.
You can remove it and paint it. It just snaps onto the front bumper cover.
