So I have a 2015, Dodge Dart, 2.4L Tigershark, Automatic.
The other day she threw a P1065, got it further analyzed it was a "Cylinder 1 oil supply solenoid valve switch on time out of range". Talking with a few people, they suggested changing the VVT Solenoid.
But I have ran into a problem. Ive searched around at local autopart shops, online, parts warehouse, local Dodge retailer, lots of places. I can not seem to find a VVT Solenoid for my specific engine. 2.4L Tigershark. Only the 2 0L.
So question really is, would the 2.0L VVT Solenoid work? Or can i use, for example, a 2.4L VVT from a Chrysler 200. Which i believe has a also a Tigershark 2.4L.
Its a relatively inexpensive part. But its a work to get to. For a sub par, do it yourselfer like me. Just dont wanna put it all together with the wrong part.. and it messes up something worse. Or just plain doesnt work.
