i would say that you stretched your cable. there should not be that big of a difference on the equalizer. Did you tighten the nut or did you find it that way?
found it that way, i loosened it when i replaced the calipers and then tightened it again, it seems to hold the car, although not as hardcore as before, it slides a little then holds it.So I recently had to swap out my calipers because my right rear ebrake was not disengaging. When I opened up the center console I see that the equalizer is not equal, it bends down to one side and the nut is WAY far into the threads, even too deep for a deep socket. I tightened the equalizer so that the ebrake would engage but it is not a firm feel in the ebrake lever. Do they have to be equal, does this mean I have a stretched cable? I was thinking about putting a bunch of washers before the tightening nut to bring it out more so its easier to adjust with a ratchet.
