I'll have to check my ticket when I get home for my 60'. I have Injen CAI, RRM Spectrum (for the 2.4L) and pulley, RRM header blanket and Hearthrob cat back. I run Autolite coppers and I've removed the center 4 AGS shutters. It was a cool night last night in the low 60's-50's as the evening progressed. I did not remove anything from the car to shed weight, including my sub box. I was running on about a 1/4 tank of Shell 93. I thought I might be a tad quicker but was okay with it as this is about .4 sec faster than stock. I'm auto so I don't know that there is much I can do driving wise to do much better. I did not use autostick and I did pre-load (powerbrake) before launch. I will remove my sub next time and try a few different things including autostick to see if I can break 16.0. It was damn fun thoughNot bad.
What are your mods and what was your 60'?
60' was 2.392Not bad.

Unfortunately we ended up too far apart in the staging lanesSo is nobody going to ask...:big smile: did you and your son line up together and was Dad faster than son???...![]()

Thanks for your advice on this! That makes sense as I've kind of felt the "wall" you're talking about too. When I've auto-sticked it a little lower rpm during WOT than the computer would normally shift it does seems to shift harder like there is more available torque. I will be removing my sub and autostick it next time at the rpms you noted and see what happensVery nice run! Here are some hints...
1) Use autostick because it shifts faster/firmer
2) Shift 1st to 2nd at 5100rpm
3) Shift 2nd to 3rd at 5300rpm
4) Shift 3rd to 4th at 5800rpm
If you use the normal function of the transmission it will attempt to shift 1st to 2nd at redline. After 5500rpms the 2.4 struggles and almost acts like it hits a wall in 1st and 2nd gear. This causes quite a bit of time loss. In the higher gears the upper rpms open up a lot more. Judging by your time of 16.2, I bet you could get low 15's easily, especially if you removed your sub.
Much better than I! lol I went to the track for my first time a couple weeks ago (Summit race park in Norwalk), and I was a tad bit too pedal happy when the light went green :wink:I'll have to check my ticket when I get home for my 60'. My 24 year old son is in the Army. Currently stationed in Georgia. Thank your son for his service. :wink:I know it's not a Dart but this is my 24 year old son who recently acquired his Mini after returning from Afghanastan (82nd Airborne, hoorah!!) racing a Charger. It was his first time doing the 1/4 mile after years of watching me. It was a night to remember for us
