ok. ive just replaced the engine in my 2013 dart 1.4 l Multiair. im about to start it for the first time but im told that you have to perform an oil bleed. serious damage can occur if its not done right. Apparently. the dealer said there is a bleeder button under the oil filter that must be pressed down while the engine is turned over. Does anyone know the exact procedure ? video would be nice but ill take any help. Thanks

I looked through the FSM at both the 1.4L MultiAir and 2.4L MultiAir and Oil Lubrication sections and found nothing about a bleed button. There is a pressure relief valve in both types of oil pumps but it is spring controlled with no external access. The oil pressure needed to supply the MultiAir hydraulics is supplied by the oil pump. There are cautions about not turning the MultAir assembly over because that would drain oil from the assembly. I am sure you have googled this and if there was such a thing, you would have found info about it. You would think there would be info about this in the FSM if there was an issue about this. Perhaps you could do more inquiring at different dealers.

The Caution:
Do not invert the variable valve actuation assembly when it is removed from the engine. Oil will drain from the assembly and excessive engine cranking will be required to refill the assembly and start the engine.
