There is a couple threads about this, but you have to switch out the entire radio you have the RE2 radio and you need the RB5 (above the glovebox). If you have sat radio on your radio now you don't have to change the antenna, if you do not have it.. you have to put new antenna and cable down to the radio..

how much does that cost?

So if we have the 8.4", sat radio, what else is needed. Trying to avoid the $500 pricetag i'm getting quoted if its just something that needs to be 'enabled' for a lesser cost.

You need the RB5 radio from another Dart, Charger, and I believe the Ram has it.. So a junkyard or online junkyard is your best bet i'd think.. Wherever you get it from make sure to get the VIN... After you install it (glovebox is a PITA to get out) you will have to take it to a dealership to update your car on what radio is in it. There is a better write up on the steps if you search RB5 in this forum. RE2 to RB5 conversion or something like that its called

I have seen the radio from 250-450 and I'd assume 100 bucks from the dealership to update the VIN.
