My '13 2.0 sxt..
Is basicly draining coolant from the driver side in between the battery and the motor.. couldn't realy tell which hose it is.. I try to fix what I can myself...
I just don't know where to start for this issue.. I cant drive til its repaired..
Plus, is it bad to use cheap coolants? For a year at least ??
What coolant thats affordable, and less damaging???

Look closely at the plastic T on the upper hose. As far as coolant I just finished reading a bunch of coolant articles. I wouldn't throw just any coolant in there. Mopar uses an OAT (organic acid technology) coolant. Dexcool, prestone, and many others are also oat coolants but they contain an additive called 2-eha which Mopar coolant doesn't have. 2-eha doesn't play well with plastics...specifically silicone. I've read where FCA stopped using silicone in their gaskets but I have no for sure data to back that up. Peak global lifetime is another oat coolant that doesn't use 2-eha.

That sounds like the same place mine is leaking, the tee on the top hose. It drips down on the transmission, then works its way to the bottom and drips off.
