Thank you that's all I was hoping to find out by the way alpine your right bootmode is through connector pins but it needs a resistor so it needs to be opened unfortunately

You will likely get a VIN mismatch code for the used BCM. As far as I know, it isn't possible to rewrite the VIN on a used BCM.

Hopefully it will sort its self out so is it safe to use hids without the right bcm? Cause the one I have installed is turning on the second one arrives today

Hey sorry busy few days so I'm sat down next to my car and thus is the wiring I'm looking at I have the ballast plugged into the harness from the light I'm only confused about the green connector wire that is coming off the ballast everything else is plugged in
What kind of ballast is that, and where did you buy it? I sent a post but it looks like you have already covered it....I got the exact same port that the ballast will go to...

I got the ballast off of ebay word of cation I've figured it possible but if your upgrading from halogen to hid you will also need a used bcm that is specific for hid as our bcm doesn't even have the ability to put fuses into the required slots when you replace bcm with a used one under rf hub in alfa obd do the bcm relearn procedure and you should be set

Yes, you would need a BCM that is for HID headlights. or if you can reprogram the BCM with AlfaOBD program.

Wait I'm confused your agreeing with me ain't you lol honestly wouldn't had ever figured out half of that Instal without your help thanks
We all MOD this car, and when someone tell's you it can't be done. to me, it just means it can't be done that way. but there are always other way's.
and Yes the BCM for vehicles that come with Halogen lights have the location for the fuse, but no fuse because there is no nothing that plugs to that fuse, as you know know that BCM does not have the electric circuit.
