I received the letter as well. A few months ago I did experience the issue and I needed navigation at the time. Was really pissed off. I have since updated to the latest version (the one you cannot sideload maps), and no longer had the issue. Good to know I get 10 year warranty / unlimited miles for the Nav unit now.

Saw that I got a letter from Chrysler today, but didn't open it... Will have to check it out in the morning when I get home! Last time I had it in there my service advisor told me I should start a STAR case seeing my warranty was almost up. If this indeed the letter I got, I'm just going to tell them to replace everything AGAIN... Under warranty!

Got the letter as well. I thought it was going to be some advertisement for an extended warranty, and almost tossed it. Good to see that wasn't the case. I didn't have the same map issue -- I got the one where you can't even open the maps. Or unlock maps. Forgot the exact message. I think I will try and update myself and see if that works. If not, will take it to the dealer.

Nice to know it's going to be under warranty for awhile. Definitely gives me some piece of mind.

No, I got this letter on Saturday... I have not been to the dealer for "radio" issues... I have been to the dealer, just not for radio updates... Only PCM updates.

No, haven't been to the dealer at all since I bought my Dart a couple of months ago. Was going to go there and have them look at my Nav screen issue. But will try to update the uConnect myself. Then if that fails, will go to the dealer.

So I got the letter without any contact with the dealership.
