So I am looking at buying a 2013 Dart SXT with a bad engine. Timing change snapped and ruined the engine. I can certainly stick with buying a 1.4 and replacing with stock but has anyone upgraded to the 2.4? Obviously an ECU re-flash is necessary. But does anything else line up? Motor mounts etc? Does the manual trans from the 1.4 bolt to a 2.4? Just some beginner questions that I couldn’t find answers to in another forum

Did you ever get an answer to this question? My 1.4 has just gone (likely dropped a valve) and I'm wondering if I can put a 2.0 or 2.4 into it?

If you have the complete donor car, it will be quite a bit of work. You will need to swap the trans as well as all the electronic modules and wiring. The electronic modules are all married to each other.
There was a recent thread about someone doing a powertrain swap on you tube. It didn't exactly go well and it was from a 2.0 to a 2.0.
