I have a 2013 Dodge Dart with a headlight out. Changed the bulb (still didn’t work) Checked the codes and said lost control with BCM. Ordered a new BCM in hopes it will fix the issue. I haven’t installed it yet but I don’t wanna ruin anything so send me ideas or thoughts before I change it

More likely a wiring or connector issue. If it was the BCM both headlights would be out. A new BCM is not plug and play

I just had to replace my headlight as one connection caught on fire and then when I took it to the mechanic it caught on fire again. We replaced with new completely headlights as the route was supposedly cheaper(true? Idk)

Make sure the battery is not connected during any electrical installation.

If the wires are burning that could be because the gauge of the wire is to small.
and Yes, OE manufactures should have the right gauge wires in your car already. but if they can safe a few $$ here and there they will do at your expenses
so, check this out and see if it helps.
