No, the Dart has excellent brakes for its class. Paired with good tires (regardless of wheel size), the OEM brakes will haul you to a stop very well. Unless you are tracking the car on a regular basis, I wouldn't bother with a big brake kit, all of which are very expensive.
You don't necessarily need them, but they do look awesome! I got the Brembo calipers from the Giulietta and had them powder coated, originally they say Alfa Romeo. This was a ton cheaper than the mopar BBK and the AP kit listed above. Personally, I don't like the rotors on the AP.
Excellent, post some pictures up. I want to swap out my rear caliper for 2 pistons. Any idea how? I wish the dart 1.4t had more power; even with a tune wouldn't cut it. I'll be posting my swap on YouTube.
I'm not sure on replacements for the rear. I just had my stock rear calipers powder coated. I had purchased the ones that came with the Giulietta with Brembo brakes. They have a slightly bigger rotor, but the mounts are different on the spindle.
The hood is from the Dart Sport model. I purchased mine from a junkyard and had it painted.
Do these make any difference? I need new rear calipers because they're too corroded internally to rebuild, they just start binding again. I was thinking of just replacing all of them and painting the new ones, and might consider upgrading to Cherokee dual piston calipers if there's any benefit to them.
