ok guys so I am getting this mechanical ticking sound from my CV axles. i can hear it in the car, so i lifted the front of the car up and had the car running and in drive. i dont hear anything when the steering wheel is turned, but i do hear it when the wheels start rotating. another thing is that the passenger wheel doesnt turn at all until the car gets to 2k rpm. are both of the axles going out? is it just one or the other? what is going on... i have never ran into this type of situation before and i have been doing mechanics for 19 years

It's just the way a differential works. Look up open diff and limited slip diff. Darts have an open diff. If you have ever been stuck on ice or snow, you would see the same thing. Nothing is wrong with one drive shaft spinning.
