Well, after a 2nd transmission was installed thinking the first was bad, my shop realized they misdiagnosed what was wrong with the new transmission. After replacing my original one due to bad synchros, there was a rattle. We were given a new transmission and the rattle was still there. The shop is going to cover the labor for the mistake. Now, has anyone used one of these Clutch Masters single mass flywheel? I'm asking because I can get it cheaper than the factory dual mass and save a few lbs. If you've used it, how bad are the vibrations etc while driving normal, with the a/c on, does it need to be revved a little more to get the car rolling, I mean anything anyone knows would be appreciated. Thank you.

Search the forum and you will see almost universal regret after going to LW.
Also, dual mass is used for many reasons and the vibration a LW flywheel allows can take out trans bearings /cause other damage.
And yes, I know I'm about to hear from those two people that have driven for a million miles with one and never had a problem...you got lucky. Plain and simple. Factory used dual mass for a reason...actually several.

Found out my car has a Clutch Masters LW flywheel. Probably had an FX100 clutch in it also, but it was worn so it replaced it with an OE Plus Rhino Pac, Deyeme Racing CD Valve delete, and short shifter. Had the flywheel machined but will have to replace next time. At least I have another new transmission.
