Driver side engine bay makes sounds randomly when driving. Feels right in front of foot pedals. Sounds like something is unattached. Somewhere in between a clank and a scrape. Nothing visibly loose under hood or under car. Flywheel or clutch is my guess because I get burning smells but the same is not always accompanied by sounds.

Might be the front sway bar and bushings

That's very possible! It's so random when it makes the sound but momentum usually plays a part. Would a sway bar make sound at low speed (<10 mph) no turning just coming to slow stop? When I downshift coming to a stop the sound is made as well as right hand turns.
