2013 Dodge Dart Ralley- noise just started the other day. when I gradually turn ac/heat higher up there is a roaring noise that gets louder. Kinda sounds like a hand dyer you find in the restroom. I took to the dealership they change the cabin filter. Air blows really well on all speeds hot/cold. They checked blower. But still roaring sound on high. Dealership said it was blower motor. Could this be right. I just had new blower motor in 2018. Thank you

Check for leaves in the blower fan? These Dart blower motors seem to be failure prone.

Yes I mentioned if the blower needed to be cleaned out. They said it was good. They did say the cabin filter was dirty so this was replaced. The air blows awesome now but still loud hand dyer sound. They said blower motor going bad. It’s only from 2018 so I’m kinda hesitant on this being the problem. Idk

As I mentioned, these blowers seem to be prone to failure. It's just 3 bolts that hold it on. You can pull it out and connect it to a battery with jumpers but be very careful with loose clothes or long hair.

NOISE
To determine if the blower motor is the source of the noise, simply switch the blower motor on and off. To verify that the blower motor is the source of the noise, unplug the blower motor wire harness connector and operate the heating and A/C system. If the noise goes away, possible causes include:

  • Deformed or damaged blower wheel
  • Foreign material in blower wheel
  • Foreign material in HVAC housing
  • Foreign material on fresh air inlet screen
  • Improper blower motor mounting
  • Worn blower motor bearings or brushes

Have you dropped the glove box down to see if anything is stuck in the recirc opening?
