My 2.0 Rallye has a 'wooshing' sound behind the dash when accelerating. It had been doing this for about a year, and then the dash light came on. I took it into my mechanic and the head gasket had blown.
The mechanic said it was minor blow, and put a new head gasket on and had the head machined. The car still has the wooshing sound of coolant behind the dash when accelerating however.
The mechanic has taken it on numerous test drives, the car is driving well, the coolant levels are stable at the right level, and there are no lights on the dash. He is using OEM coolant. The car also has a brand new water pump.
Should I be worried about the wooshing anymore? Does anyone have any knowledge to know if this is normal for a 2013 Dodge Dart Rallye 2.0? Thank you in advance anyone!
