      ....and you'll never be able to get one. These are Mexican-market specials, which are essentially just Fiats with crosshair grills in them. Pretty neat looking car, I wonder if there would be a market in the US...we'll never know. Like? Dislike?

      It is actually a 2016 Fiat Tipo sedan with a Dodge crosshairs grill on it and no antenna. I mean, it's not similar, it's identical besides the grill and the missing antenna. To the point where I wonder if this is anything but a Photoshop of an idea that maybe they're floating around. For the record, the most powerful engine offered in the Tipo will be a 118hp 1.6L MultiJet turbo-diesel. The most powerful gasoline engine is a 108hp 1.6L unit. The car falls decidedly into Fiat's "functional" lineup, rather than their "aspirational" lineup (ie. the 500 and 124 Spider). It is described as "not a driver's car". It's basically an average C-class car for the European market (it is available as a hatch and wagon as well). And yes, it's a compact, not a sub-compact, with the sedan apparently being longer than the Focus sedan.

      I fail to understand why the Chrysler/Dodge names could not support a couple smaller cars like this Mexican version as well as the outgoing Dart.
      Much to Sergio's dismay, I don't think the name Fiat is all that well received in North America (USA-Canada).
      Translated: A small Dodge should sell better than a small Fiat. I'm old enough to recall whether Fiat was EVER a BIG hit here in the USA. My recollection is a resounding ​NO.

      The Tipo is in the same compact/C-class of car as the Dart. Honestly, I don't know why they ever bothered with the Fiat brand in North America. The 500 was never going to be a resounding success and honestly, Fiat doesn't really sell anything else that North American car buyers would want either. Fiat is a European/Asian/African brand. The cars they make work for those markets. North America has different tastes in vehicles.

      I'm not sure using the Neon name is a good idea either. It fit the original car with its happy-face front end and funky color choices, but not this new vehicle. The name "Neon" also left a sour taste in the mouths of many owners of the 1st-gen cars which had a multitude of quality/design issues.

      I kinda wish they'd release something like this for the US and maybe even Canada. I know it doesn't really fit the Dodge Performance brand, but what Dodge needs us a mass selling car, kinda like in the 80's they came out with the K-car and in the 90's they had the cheap Dodge Stratus and Plymouth Breeze and sold TONS of them. Then they're not totally relying on gas guzzlers which may be hot now, but a year from now maybe gas prices will spike again and Chrysler will right back where they were back when Daimler owned them and all they pushed was the big gas guzzlers.
