      Lug bolts instead of nuts.

I've never seen lug bolts used in a high performance application. That being said I wonder how much power to the wheels the lug bolts will handle. I always feel safer with open lug nuts, where I can see threads sticking out.

high performance applications require speedy removal and assembly of a tire/wheel combination during a pit-stop. Aligning a bolt kind of a bitch when putting a wheel back on. It's simply a time-saving measure to use nuts instead of bolts in a high-performance/race application.

With a lug-bolt, you have to use the aligning tool, then put in a couple bolts, then replace said alignment tool with a bolt & tighten them down. You lose that tool, it becomes a bit harder to do. With the nuts, all you have to do is hang the tire and make sure the nut is on straight. If you lose one, you just grab another.

You'd better tell Tork Motorsports that, it would be a shame for them to put 400 HP into a non-high performance machine.

I don't see Tork doing that until the 2.4L is available tbh.

In my opinion, real high-performance machines only have 1 lug, it's big and right in the middle! As far as passenger cars go the bolt won't be weaker just because it is pointing the opposite way as most are used to, Zie Germans do this on a lot of there cars

Think about it this way; losing a lug-nut, is probably more common than losing a lug-bolt. O.o

I know that. I was referring to the helpful person who pointed out once again that the Dart is not a "high performance" car. If they can do it they have said the plan is for 400 HP out of the 1.4L, which would make (at least theirs) it a high performance car.
