2013 1_4L Turbo with Auto Trans Questions, Leaking Fluid

Hi, I'm new to the group seeking help with our Dart. It has the 1_4L Turbo (Fiat) engine and an automatic Transmission. Is that Transmission made by Dodge or Fiat? And does anyone know what would have it leaking a lot of fluid from between the trans and engine? Is there anything other than the main seal that could be causing a significant leak. Almost comes out as fast as you put it in. Not quite, but if running, it is really leaking heavily.

I am also wondering about where to get the Transmission serviced at in the Minneapolis - St. Paul area. Seems like my local Dodge Dealer knows little to nothing about these cars. So we don't have a lot of confidence in them working on it. If it is a Fiat Transmission, maybe I would be better off taking it to a Fiat dealer??

      Thanks for the help.

If it's engine oil, then it is the rear main seal. You will need to pull the trans to get to the rear main seal. When you separate the engine and trans, there is a special tool to reset the flywheel before you put it back. Once you have the trans and flywheel off, remove the oil pan, then there is tone wheel for the crankshaft sensor and finally the seal retainer.
      Some reading for you:

I hear really bad things about the Twin cities FCA dealers. Not sure where you should take it. Seems like lately all the new members are finding used 1.4L/DDCT Darts. The original owners are abandoning them en masse especially the 2013s.
It can be fixed, the problem is finding someone that is competent, or if you are mechanically inclined, you can do it yourself with probably a better result. Be aware that the trans fluids are unique and even dealers get them confused.

Nothing to do with Engine Oil. Transmission Fluid.

Is this Transmission a Dodge or Fiat product?

Dodge Dart, Jeep Renegade, and Fiat vehicles can have a DDCT trans. If it's trans fluid, there are two input shaft seals that requires special tools to install them. You will need to pull the trans to get to them. You'll also need the flywheel reset tool to set the flywheel before you put things together. Make sure you are using the correct DDCT trans fluid. You do need both but they are different and need to be kept separate. The plastic reservoir on top is for the hydraulic fluid. The DDCT trans fluid goes inside the trans.
The odd and even gear clutches are likely fluid soaked and should be replaced.
