That's what a weak battery does on a Dart. Replace the battery and it should go back to normal.

Had battery tested this morning and it was good. Came home put it back in same thing nothing just a click and flicking gauges.
Previous vehicles in the past would attempt to crank over slowly as a sign of a dying battery. This is not the case with the Dart. It's all or nothing. GET A NEW BATTERY.
Just replaced tje wifes yesterday. Pep boys had 25% off web orders. Bosch 750 cca 120 bucks
I have an aftermarket stereo so I went with the X2power battery.. Haven't had an issue since.
Your battery has ended its' service life and needs to be replaced. I experienced the same issue, but I charged the battery overnight and it gave service for another year with additional charges when flickering gauges indicated the battery was failing. Also if you locked your car the anti theft probably drained enough to cause the issue in the morning. A 10mm socket, a 3" extension and 1/4" socket drive will release both terminals and the hold down center front of the battery. You can go to YouTube and watch how to replace the battery. The more cold cranking amps the better. A $15 solar charger from Harbor Freight will keep your new battery fully charged and extend the life of the battery.
Hi John. I had this same problem on my Dart. I had similar indications that you describe. I replaced the Battery and it fixed the problem.
