      True ABS plastic underbody?

      So I was able to get a really good look at the underbody while my mechanic had my 2013 Dart SE on the rack. The front underbody panel seemed to be very flimsy, almost cardboard like. Does anyone know of an optional, more sturdy version?

      not that i know of, they put that on there for aerodynamic reasons so its not going to be super robust. That being said i think there was only one member who had issues but he ran over a raccoon i think and it messed up the underside. If anything its nice that alot of road grime does not get at the bottom of the engine so when you do service work and drop it you have a pretty clean underbay for the engine.

      Mine was shredded offroading the car, which is one thing this car otherwise does very well.

      Mine is roughed up quite a bit, not sure why. I've just about 500 miles on this 23000 mile car so far. The rest of the underbody looked almost perfect. Perhaps, one of the Allmoparparts crew here can link me to a replacement part & price for me to consider purchasing. My thinking is- To get a new replacement part and get a shop to bake-coat it with a Teflon or perhaps rhino-shield.

      With almost 80,000 miles on my Dart, its "Belly Pan" (MOPAR part #68082724AH):

      ... is still in very good shape!

      However, the same cannot be said for the plastic "Close out panel" that mounts between the belly pan and the front fascia ... as I recently tore my Dart's "Close out panel" (MOPAR Part #68155070AA) :

      I found the replacement "Close out panel" (MOPAR Part #68155070AC) on the Internet for as low as $48.53 (+ S&H):

      I "talked nice" to my local CJDR dealership's Parts Department counterman ... and he matched that price (plus what it would have cost me to have it shipped to my zip code) ... ~$60.

      Here's my torn panel (with yellow duct tape temporarily holding it together) ... and the replacement panel:

      NOTE: The replacement panel was a perfect fit and included new front tire "spats" (not visible on my pic) ... A very simple DIY job that took less than an hour from start to finish!

      @Pretty Boy Floyd -

      Curious with all your DDCT woes and frustration with FCA not backing up their product because of your "driving style" ... why do you continually post on this forum that you take your Dart "offroad" ???

      IIRC, you have even posted pics of it with your 16" rims & higher profile tires on a Mountain gravel/dirt road.

      Seems to me that admitting to "off-roading" your Dart is just another reason for FCA to deny warranty repairs / replacement.

      EDIT: Here's a low-rez copy of that pic you posted:
