      Redline motor oil

Does anyone have opinions on this?

I know that on car forums this is a very debated thing *energy shields up*.. I'm just curious. I forget what is in the car now but I'll post later. I think it is the Dodge recommended. I have been considering Redline 0w20, I'm thinking it has a better formula that might help cope with my hard driving :P

I also hope it might quiet engine noise down some, I have noticed something akin to ticking, but not quite.

      So, thoughts? Reccommendations? Personal experiences?

I'm looking to order oil (amazon) by sunday at the latest.

The ticking sound is the MultiAir actuators, that sound is completely normal for any engine equipped with it. If you don't hear them, you have some big problems on your hands.

That is good to know, thanks. I'll have to read up on this motor a bit so I can know what to expect.

Still going to find better oil though lol. I did read that the multiair motors are touchy about oil viscosity, so keep it at 0w20 right?

Right, 0W-20 for your particular Multi-air system. My Redline story is from my last vehicle, a 2010 Frontier 4X4 4.0. That engine is very noisy and so I tried Royal Purple. Sounded exactly the same. Next change I tried Redline and viola, instantly it was super quiet. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

Wow sorry I haven't been around for this. I just threw some 0w20 Mobil one full sythetic in there for now (ew..) I think that is what they used at my dealership. We have been incredibly busy with things, so ordering the redline hasn't been high priority. I'll try to order it tonight before I go grab some sleep. I have to make another thread on here too.
