I test drove a 1.4 Dart, and the engine isn't bad for what it is, it felt sluggish to me, and turbo kicked in at about 3500 rpm... If they replace the turbo with a bigger twinscroll, you'd see better results, but, you;d have to mod the fuel system, and open up the exhaust. The 2.4 can benefit from forced induction, the compression ratio should be in the 9.0-9.5:1 area, and with 6 pounds of boost, I forsee about a 30hp bump across the rpm band. (this is my math, not what we may see from the chupacabra)
I'm anxious myself to get it done. The compression ratio on the 2.4L is 10.2:1. As far as @chlngr1970 's comment, Yeah, I know! Even with the colors! These cars look fantastic in bright colors and black contrasts....Why in heck did they drop all the good ones and painting them in "old fart" colors...(hey, I ain't ready to be buried in a Buick yet)

Maybe that same SRT4 engine in the works for 2016 can make its way into the 500x Abarth? Please? haha

I'm personally excited for both the turbo kit AND the SRT4. I love my Dart and wanna give it some more fun factor, but I had a recent change of location that leaves me driving more miles to work everyday. I don't picture me owning my current Dart longer than maybe another 5 or 6 more years. That being said, maybe my next car will be an SRT4 if it impresses me.

You wanna know something funny?... I own the car, but don't drive it... my fiancee' uses it to commute to and from work. I on the other hand love the car, and can't wait to see its performance potential being tapped into. If and when the SRT drops... I may be in the market for one. If it is bland- then I know how to spice me up a GT

Actual performance can help you accept a car/motorcycle's other faults.

the Tigershark 2.4L engine is built on a high-pressure diecast aluminum block with cast-iron liners and forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods with lightweight cast aluminum pistons designed specifically for efficient operation and provides a 10.1 compression ratio. Compact design provided by an 88 mm bore and 97 mm stroke, while advanced details like diamond-hard piston pin coatings and a two-stage oil pump shave operating losses further improving efficiency. In other words, no feature to small or technology to sophisticated in consideration of providing uncompromising fuel efficiency.

from the design of the forged crank and con rods, id say 7-10 PSI for this engine would be well enough on stock internals. the only thing i see holding back the NA version is the MultiAir set up. without a proper tune that is. i hope this works out for you slinky.
