    Recall on the Dodge Dart?

    Has anyone heard about the Recall? if so what is it and does it effect all darts or certian Darts?

    I believe your talking about the Darts equipped with the DDCT transmission....

    Only certain build dates. Got mine looked at, everything was ok.

    I had my Dart looked at too and there was no recall for mine.

    when you say looked at. did the dealer actually look at something on the car cause my service manager just told me from my vin mine was not affected.

    He did say he had two on their lot he could not sell till he did the recall.

    They did an inspection during my oil change as well of check if there were any known recalls or flashers needed to the Dart. I'm sure they checked my vin # as well and see if it was one of them or not.

    My dealer ship called and left me a message so I am going to say I am the lucky winner and my car has the recall- does anyone have any idea what exactly the recall effects- I bought my car is October and I have the 1.4 turbo

    Service :
    The transaxle clutch slave cylinder may have been improperly manufactured. This could
    cause a hydraulic fluid leak at the transaxle clutch slave cylinder.
    What your dealer
    will do :
    Chrysler will service your vehicle free of charge (parts and labour). To do this, your dealer
    will inspect the date code on the clutch slave cylinder. Slave cylinders built within a certain date
    range will be replaced.
    What you should
    do :
    Contact your dealer to schedule a service appointment and provide them with your VIN
    number, (shown on the enclosed Service Authorization Card).

    We got the notice too that our car had a recalled part. Took it in, part got replaced, got car back next day. They had a potential clutch slave cylinder problem, so they replaced a certain vin # range to omit any problems.
