I had a damaged one on my dart and when I went to the dealer to replace it it was only $40, and that was ordering it from dodge! I hope you didn't pay more than that! :-(

I didn't pay a dime discount tire is the one who is paying for it. They said it was 150 dollar sensor. I would never pay that kinda price I would rather look at the annoying light on the dash for that price!
they are not really that safe unless they are bolt on adapters.. but depending on the bolt patter of the vw it might work without adapters, because the bolt pattern for us is 5-110 and the vw might me either a 5-110 or 5-112, but yea i was looking at the rear of the car and there is a piece of the suspension that is really close to the wheel, probably gonna have to go to a pretty negative offset to clear that thing
My Vw is 5x100 so I definatly would have to have adapters. And I would definatly get the bolt on ones. By no means would I ever go cheap on something like that.
I've broken a few sensors in my time. They are about as strong as a strand of uncooked angel hair. Might have been a new guy working on your rim.
He was a little mad at himself that it happened you could tell. I told him not to worry that I wasn't mad at him just mad at the front desk guy that tried to push it off like it came in that way .and they didn't break it. I said everybody screws up and makes a mistake that makes you human. He appoligized again and said he liked my car and can tell I'm a car guy to so he was really worried I would flip out.

This is a little off topic, but since you guys know more about the Dart's wheels than I do, I thought I would ask here. Is it more trouble to reuse the original TPMS on new rims or to buy new rims with new TPMS's like on tirerack.com? I've been thinking about finding some cheaper rims at local places, but if it's better to order everything new, I want to know.
