well if it is like the charger/challenger, it will only be for the 2014's right? I believe that you have to order it when you buy the car, not get it afterwards, I might be wrong though.
I also have been following this with great interest, and being an oldster and an expressway denizen, I am hoping that individual parts will become available also. I don't want the Scat Pack per se, but I am extremely interested in the hood, cold air intake, heartthrob cat-back and replacement rear panel to accommodate it. I love my SXT, but still like to be somewhat of a street sleeper....
18 hp is nothing to sneeze at, especially the way the GT auto I drove already had enough power for first gear. Those 18 hp will be welcome in 2nd and 3rd gear, and the look..............I sure hope they eventually sell it.
From what I understand the packs are supposed to have stages the dart topped out doesn't get little more than a tune but the charger and challenger get so much more
I'm not sure if this is Scat Pack related, however on Dodge Vehicles | Build your own SUV, Crossover, Minivan or Car | Dodge there was pictured the vented Dart Hood on a White GT, under the Mopar tab within the Dart page for a while and now... They've totally pulled it from the site. It was advertised as "Available for late release". Now it's completely vanished. I'm hoping to use the wayback machine to save the HTML to prove I didn't dream it up one night.
-ACCESSORIZE WITH MOPAR®
Hit the streets in your custom Dodge Dart and watch the wannabes line up. There's no mistaking the performance under the hood with available Mopar® accessories that give competitors more than a fair warning. A black aluminum hood (late availability), matte black front chin spoiler, rear spoiler and more are all crafted to intimidate.
They promised countless aftermarket items and have followed up on very little. That hood is just another item we'll never get. Hell they even advertised a completely custom model saying it would be available on release, the GTS tribute, and that has completely disappeared.
I know you're all disappointed but I'm here to bring good news. Based on my knowledge the whole r/t and vented hood etc. We're partially going to be available to customers and partially to see if the community wanted a performance model. We've ranted and raved enough and we will get these things you have to remember a company isn't going to release something unless there sure that it's wanted
Not necessarily the package as a whole, but I personally have a need, (desperate want), for the functional hood with the CAI......enough so, that I would gladly pay the additional expense to have it repainted to match the car.....
My hope, actually, is that more parts will become available if they hold to their plan over the next five years to actually transform Dodge to an all performance niche brand.
<img src="http://www.dodge-dart.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=33568"/> You guys say you want the vented hood for you're darts that has already been shown I say this is a far better look
With all this rangling I'm glad that finally via the latest five year plan I can go to a 2016 alfa romeo Giulia 1750T (300 hp) d class sedan 8 speed without any mods.
In the past wasn't an SRT version of a Dodge vehicle offered before the 4th model year of any model? You'd think if a Dart didn't have an SRT version by now, its never gonna based on that past history...of course I'm not one of the people here that's holding my breath for one to happen, quite frankly I'd take bets it never will if it hasn't by now, especially since the community has had so many past teases that never came to fruition either. But we'll see...
Sat in a Challenger SRT (not Hellcat) at the dealer last week. Very very comfortable. Seats to die for (not designed for a ten year old), driving position and the three pedal placement excell-freaking-ent, and the console area by the shifter is just beautiful. Very driver oriented but without feeling walled-in like the new claustrophobic Corvette. Very nice piece of work. You just want to take hold of that flat-bottomed uber chunky steering wheel and never let go........

Not that I'd ever get one but please tell me that shifter is broken. What sane person would design the placement of the climate controls where you will hit them while shifting?
I know. The same person that displays the best hood for the Dart and decides NOT to release it. FML.
