    Technology group, worth it?

Does anyone see this as a necessary/important addon? I've been driving for over 10 years and never once used anything like parksense just looks around... I admit the push and go seems nice... but why not just stick the key in and turn?

I don't have the technology group on my Dart SXT but it came with remote start. Pretty cool I have to admit.

I have the technology group on my Limited and I will agree it is not a necessity it sure is nice to not have to worry aoubt the wiper blades and the headligts if you so choose. The park sense and camera are a welcome back up when I have worked too many hours and just want to crawl in bed. It mightno be necessary but I'm glad I have it.

I have it on my Limited and while it is not a necessity, it sure is nice to have. Especially in a parking lot trying to back out of a spot when you end up getting blocked by big ass suv's that you can't see around, and you get that alert from the rear cross path detection. And also very nice not having to dig in your pockets for keys to unlock the door when carrying stuff and your hands are full. Again, not a necessity, but nice to have.

This is getting pricey then, if I add it, it would put me at nearly $27,000. I'm almost at the point where I'm like "Well I already got the 1.4 DDCT Premium Package, HID, UConnect with Nav" might as well get the technology package as well..

It can get pricey. It just depends on what you want and how bad you really feel you need it or want to spend on it. When I first saw the Dart and started looking into it, I was thinking about spending between 17,000 and 20,000. When I started figuring what I really wanted, my options got cut to the Limited and the GT, and I did not want a sport tuned suspension, so I chose the Limited. After everything I decided to get, my MSRP ended up being over 27,000, but I ended up paying just over 25,000 due to the Chrysler Affiliate Program.

I enjoy every feature of the decked out Limited I got. Only thing I did not get on it was the DDCT and block heater.

Technology package = awesome. If you can afford it, do it! The blind spot detection will save someone's life. Enter and go is also a great feature. Never reach for your keys again.

There's a new package for the limited not listed on the Dodge website called the Limited Special Edition Group. This may make it cheaper. You'd still have to get the Tech group separate, but some of your other options may be included with this group. My dad just ordered a Dart limited and it saved him quite a bit of money getting everything separate in the old packages. The only downside is he had to get a sunroof (he hates sunroofs), but just think it will increate the value of the car when you trade it in and you can always just leave the cover over the sunroof so you're not getting blasted by the sun.

    Special Edition group includes:

    Special Edition Group [ADZ] $1,810.00
    (Req's Gray Interior Color-AW)
Includes Dual-Zone Automatic Air Conditioning, Remote Control Engine Start, Garage Door Opener, Power Glass Moon Roof, Garmin Navigation System, Premium Group, SiriusXM Feature, SiriusXM Travel Link w/1-yr of Service, Uconnect 8.4N, Heated Front Seats, Leather Surfaced Bucket Seats, Leather-Wrapped Shift Knob, Heated Steering Wheel & LED Racetrack Tail Lights.

Keyless Enter 'n Go™ is worth it alone for me. But the Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection is cool too

I can't say I'm overly fussed about Rain-sensitive windshield wipers, SmartBeam® Intelligent Headlamps, or ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System (especially if you have a rear camera)

I never understood the keyless ignition systems until I had a rental Charger with the system. It`s the best thing ever. It`s almost impossible to lock yourself in your car, you don't have to fumble with the locks, and it`s just cool!

Been snooping around trying to find a complete list of the Limited SE (ADZ)

    • Active Grille Shutters
    • Underbody Aerodynamics.
    • Power Sunroof
    • Nappa Leather
    • Heated front seats and Steering Wheel
    • Dual-zone Auto Climate Control
    • LED Racetrack Tail-lamps
    • Uconnect 8.4N, SiriusXM w/Garmin Nav
    • Remote Control Engine Start
    • Garage Door Opener
    • Leather-Wrapped Shift Knob

The only thing missing from my Limited is the 8.4N Garmin setup. I demand an SE badge!

To answer the OP, yes, all the tech is worth it in my book. At this price point, you're paying substantially less than other brands for the same features.
