The new 2013 Dodge Dart registry takes a page from the traditional bridal playbook by providing a unique way to raise money toward the purchase of a Dart.
Instead of pots and pans, participants can fund specific parts of the Dart, such as a steering wheel, seat or engine.
The Dodge Dart registry launches January 20 with a new 30-second commercial titled "How to Change Buying Cars Forever."
"Brides and grooms have been doing it for years," said Chrysler in a statement. "Now it's easier than ever for new car buyers, too."
Still an awesome Idea. I wonder, since you can literally make a custom dart on that thing, if they'd find you a match, or if they just give you the $ and you can go to your dealer with the funds.
No trim level selection? No sunroof option? No engine heater option? 17" hyperblack rims is an option? I thought those couldn't be ordered anymore. So much potential, so little reality.
In reality it is people donate $ in order for whatever part or Dart a person wants. They can use the money how they choose for the car. Let's say you got a full funding for a car of $19,000 you can choose whatever options when you get the dealership. It doesn't have to be that exact car from the registry. Kinda defeats a purpose, but it is really just getting donations and funding in order to help pay for your Dart or in my case a part of the Dart haha
I tried this and posted on my old G8 forums cause we are all buds over there. Everyone thinks Im asking for a handout and was being dissed left and right.
