Chrysler Reports Best November Sales Since 2007; Dart Wins More Awards

Apparently, Chrysler is having a great month. They just reported the best November sales on cars since 2007. Some of this success can be directly attributed to our favorite beast, the Dodge Dart. The popular new vehicle has garnered even more awards and is doing amazingly well, especially for a slumped economy. Here's a quote with more details,

Consumers continue to respond strongly to the all-new 2013 Dodge Dart. Calendar year to date, the average transaction price for a Dart is more than $22,000, the highest average transaction price in the compact car segment and more than $5,000 higher than Dodge’s previous compact car, the Dodge Caliber. In addition the Dart just received its 20th award when it was named “Best Sedan” by Ruedas ESPN, the leading Spanish-language automotive radio show in the U.S. The Dart also was recognized by the Hispanic Motor Press Association with a 2013 Hispanic Motor Press Award in the Compact Car category. The awards recognize the most impressive overall new vehicles of the calendar year as judged by an all Latino panel.

Of course we aren't surprised that it has won so many awards. Rounding out the good news, Canada reports Dodge Dart posts its best sales month since launch with 824 units with Chrysler Canada reporting its best November retail sales month since 2001. We can't help but gush over this amazing example of automotive technology.

Dart sales are down in the US though. $750 cash back on all Darts in Dec. Not sure if the $500 MTX bonus applies on top of that yet.

2: Jeep Grand Cherokee: 13,619, +1%
3: Jeep Wrangler: 10,337, +12%
4: Dodge Grand Caravan: 8,578, +42%
5: Chrysler 200: 7,371, -9%
6: Dodge Avenger: 7,132, +26%
7: Chrysler Town & Country: 6,636, +3%

While not among the top 10 in sales volume, the Fiat 500 helped in the growth with a 123% sales increase with 3,606 sold for a record November. Also helping the company's performance were new sales by the Dodge Dart. The Dart had sales last month of 4,489 to bring its youthful total to 19,198.

Not surprised at the Ram truck, or minivans. Journey has big incentives. I would expect the Dart to start picking up more.

Edited to add, I wonder why the Grand Caravan was +42% but the Town & Country was only +3%?

On a side note, saw 4 different Darts on the roads last weekend. Orange, Red, Black and Citrus.

Yup.

Sadly thats what happens when you sell more in the previous month.

Sales increased in Canada tho
