The tunerstravaganza that is the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s annual show (SEMA) will soon be upon us, running November 4-7 in Las Vegas. Among the first of the major manufacturers to preview its full onslaught for the show, Chrysler today gives us a sneak peek at several concept vehicles, including examples from Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep, and Fiat. Filling a huge 15,345-square-foot exhibit in the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Chrysler display will house numerous enhancements to a large segment of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles brand portfolio performed by Mopar.
Thus far, no details on the vehicles themselves have been released, but the vehicles to show off modifications from Mopar include the Poison Dart R/T Concept, Viper ACR Concept, Challenger T/A Concept, Fiat Abarth Scorpion, Chrysler 200S Mopar Concept, Dodge Charger Mopar Concept, Fiat 500L Custom, Jeep Renegade Trailhawk Frostbite, Renegade Limited Rip Tide, Ram ProMaster, and Ram 2500 Outdoorsman.
The Poison Dart R/T Concept, Challenger T/A Concept, Fiat Abarth Scorpion, and, naturally, the Viper ACR Concept should all hold a great deal of interest for the enthusiast—particularly if any of the concepts nod toward future production variants.
I'm liking that lime interior!!! PLEASE tell me they're going to do it right and come out with a LimeLight / SubLime Dart! Hell, I'll settle for Nitro Yellow-Green!
It's just photoshop btw, I did all 3 of those interiors; but und' is just talking about the Poison Dart one in the middle. I did this in 2012, when it debut'd.
@suzq044 Here is your Dart R/T "Concept/ Poison Dart" I'd say this is your mid cycle refresh or less likely a DSRT preview. Ill update when I get more info.
More info..... I'm almost certain this is a SRT preview or like I mentioned way back when, the R/T will be an ST fighter while the SRT will handle the RS and the EVO/STi
Dodge Dart R/T Concept
The Dodge Dart R/T Concept demonstrates that in addition to value and style, the 2015 Dodge Dart has loads of potential to deliver the goods for performance enthusiasts.
The Dodge Dart R/T Concept flexes its muscle with athletic and agile performance styling cues. A Mopar performance matte black aluminum hood provides a sinister, contrasting look to the "O-So-Orange" painted concept Dart. The hood mounted duct feeds cool ambient air directly into the air box, while an air exhauster at the rear pulls hot air from the Dodge Dart R/T Concept's intercooled turbocharged engine.
An aggressive front fascia with an enlarged grille opening provides maximum airflow to the Dart's massive intercooler. New grille textures and LED fog lamp surround, along with select items from the Mopar Dart body kit (including a front chin splitter, side sill accents and rear fascia diffuser) amp up the car's attitude. In line with the more aggressive appearance, the back end boasts a unique three-piece spoiler, perched above prominent three-and-a-half inch exhaust tips.
Riding on 18-inch Mopar anodized black lightweight wheels, the power of the Dodge Dart R/T Concept is harnessed by a Mopar big brake kit, and handling is improved with an adjustable coil-over suspension. Like the hood, the roof and deck-lid have a matte black finish, creating a unique look that is poised to strike fear in the competition.
That's if they aren't using "R/T" as the concept-only Dart. lol -- every concept so far has been "R/T". Otherwise it looks like those are the same wheels, and spoiler used on Carbon Fire, but with the hood from the "Scat pack". Exhaust tips don't mean much when they didn't mention a damn thing about performance other than cooling and suspension.. dunno what to say there.
That's not any of the 3 engines offered on the Dart. The oil dipstick tube for the 2.0 and 2.4 aren't located there, and the 1.4 Cover is larger than that one. So unless they just changed the cover on the 1.4, it's a new (hurricane?) engine.
Meh...same parts rhey have been teasing for years just with a different bumper this time.
Mopar...either put up or shut up, I'm tired of your golden boys getting all the attention. Dont pretend like you support the Dart if you are not willing to make parts for it. Dangling all this crap in front of our eyes when you have no aspirations to produce any of it is just rude. We all know you think the Dart is a failure just drop it like I KNOW you want to.
That's my frustration with Mopar, too. They keep showing Dart stuff, but have yet to produce a single piece other than the lip kit that went on a production vehicle anyway (Mopar'13)
Keep telling us that we are going to get these parts and then not come out with them. The coil over kit has been teased for 2 years now. The hood has been 2 years and the performance parts are nothing has ever developed from it.
It is getting harder and harder to keep supporting the cause.
