My car is finally in the shop to have my fuel door fixed after the plastic cracked due to pouring hot water on it to open. Plus I lost all power to the fuel door so the last week or so I have had to leave it open. I hope the new door works better!
I just got my dart five days ago and already need to take it to the shop because my fuel door wont open and im out of gas. When i called the dealer they said " i must be doing something wrong." its a button. Not much you can do wrong if it worked like it should.
[QUOTE=suzq044;145843]There's a manual unlock for the fuel door in the trunk btw. Probably a little late at this point, but still.
Oh I know the release is there, its just the point of having a new car things should work and not have to tear apart the trunk. It really didn't matter anyway in my situation because the whole plastic piece fell off so it was just a plastic skeleton there. So open or not you could still see the gas cap. I have had the worst luck with this car. So glad my dad, a Chrysler employee of 32 years talked me into getting it haha. Once I have my beater neon on the road again I think the Dart and I are parting ways. Thanks @suzq044 for help, and sorry for the rant just frustrating times.
Good to know all, thanks for the tip(s).
Mine is super warped too, going to go to dealership tomorrow and see if it can be replaced tomorrow or asap. Really annoys me that it isn't flush.
My door aligns poorly as well.....haven't had it during the winter months yet, but looks like I got this crap to look forward to !
