I really wish I could have gotten a GT that looks exactly like my Rallye, But there were hardly any GTs around at dealers when I got my Dart, and the ones that were around were too expensive. I just really want the badge, TFT, and interior extras is all.
I guess I'll just have to go with a customized Rallye instead
Wanted leather+TFT and it was impossible to find a limited optioned like my gt around me and with the discount I received I settled on the 2.4. Still a great car, just need some mods to come out for it.
Only thing I really wish I could have got would be the 18's. But my dealership wanted to charge me full price to swap them out. Not happening! There are aftermarket rims that look way better, for way cheaper! Once I can afford them, I will be going that route.
A few things would have been nice to have...
Keyless enter and go / push button start.
Blind spot monitoring.
TFT display.
Heated wheel and seats.
Heater mirrors (which I have since added to my Rallye! )
Other than that, I got everything I wanted. And purposely too! I wasn't going to spend the money and not get what I wanted. The few "nice to have things" weren't available on the trim level of the things I would much rather have, so I wasn't too worried there.
I don't care for leather seats, and see no point in power seats when I'm the only one else driving my car. Set the seat position on day one and never worried about it again. And other than that, my Dart is basically fully loaded.
"Yesterday don't mean shit, cause tomorrow's the day that you have to face!"
I have a white dart SXT. I really like the color and the car, but I did want the rallye model. There are a few reasons why I couldn't get it. First, none of the dealers had any rallye's in white for months and I did not want to order the car. Second I got an amazing deal on the one I got that made it cost much less than a Rallye or even that an SXT would regularly cost. I couldn't pass up that deal for the car I wanted in the color I wanted. I'm happy with the interior appearance being all black denim, I don't mind not having the touch screen radio because I never liked how bright and distracting they are, and I like the regular gauges and don't care to have the TFT cluster, (though it is cool). Really I wanted the exterior Rallye look. As I save up, I am slowly turning my SXT into a Rallye. I've gotten the racetrack tail lights, and I've had the front fascia vinyl wrapped in gloss black. Next I plan to get the black headlights and dual exhaust. The fog lights I think I can live without. My rims are the same as the Rallye, but I might paint them to get the hyper black look. After I'm done, the car will have still cost much less than a Rallye would have, so I'm happy.
I'm still waiting on my 2014 GT, but I wish that HID's were still an option without having to get it in a "Package".
I don't want little circles in my rear bumper, so I guess I'll go without the HID's.
I also wish the Red/Black interior was still available like 2013.
A cloth interior option for the GT would have been nice as well (I like the black/red interior on the Blacktop edition)
I got everything I wanted on my 2014 GT I love the red and black interior and I got it fully loaded b/c I got a great price do wish I had a racing strip tho
I got a Header Orange GT with manual transmission, no sunroof, no technology package. It's exactly what I wanted.
I specificly did NOT want the sunroof (I have them go bad on me before and it's nothing but a pain. Also I have no hair so the last thing I need is the sun beating down on my head.
I specificaly didn't want the technology pacakge because I am fully capable of parking a car by myself and the blinking lights on the mirrors every time someone passed me was really annoying on a test drive.
So I got exactly what I wanted. I didn't pay for a thing I didn't want. I had to have my dealer find this set up in Connecticuit (I'm in Maryland) and drive it down here. But that worked out great!
The only thing I've been unhappy with is the 18 inch hyper black wheels. They are really soft and easily scratched (500 miles and I've already got 1 nasty unfixable 4 inch rock scratch) and they should not be called HYPER BLACK. When I hear HYPER BLACK I think of BLACK. Not gun metal grey, which is what they are. Somehow I jus thought they'd be darker. I don't hate the wheels I have, but I'm not super stoked about them. It's the only thing I'm not totally happy about in my car.
I specificaly didn't want the technology pacakge because I am fully capable of parking a car by myself and the blinking lights on the mirrors every time someone passed me was really annoying on a test drive.
hehe, I love the tech package because every time I pass someone they know they just got painted by my radar as I flew by!
Seriously though, the blind spot monitoring has saved my baby more than once.
Everything offered on an M13, but not in Black/Blue theme. Too much in love with red on cars in general. The front splitter, side trims, and that great rear diffuser.
Otherwise, call me when they have the balls to offer a 2.0 multiair Turbo with a super duty manual clutch short throw.
I wish I could have gotten the Alpine system and HID lights as ala-cart like they were in 13. I could have gotten them by adding 2 packages that I didn't want the other stuff in them. These 2 options were not on my "must have" list so I am very happy with my 14 GT.
I wish I could've gotten the polished aluminum 17" rims the 2013 models had instead of the Hyper-Blacks, and the front seat storage would've been nice as well.
