      I hate to say it... but you would have been even more upset with an STI... those motors are garbage and they are VERY expensive to build... aka my buddy has a 2016 that is almost done in the shop... paid $35k for it... then another almost $25k in mods and labor to build it and it is only going to be at 500-550AWHP... which is very nice, but what i didnt tell you is this is the 2nd time its been in the shop to get built... the first time it was done it made 420AWHP and spun a bearing 2 weeks after completion.

      If youre going to go with a car you can mod... stick with the DSMs. cheaper, better built, and faster.

      SRT4 imo. Stock block and trans can handle 450whp. Spend 4500$ for the AGP "kitchen sink" package and be able to max the stock block. Then forging the bottom end is another 1k , clutch is 800 and heads + cams are 2k.

      Basically under 10k you can push 600whp out of a SRT-4 doing all the work yourself, which really isnt hard

      O I completely agree, I LOVE the SRT-4 neons! I almost bought an 05 with 5k miles on it! It was some guys weekend cruiser with nothing done to it!

      But the only thing the DSMs have over the neons is awd... and in IL a 450FWHP car is not great in the winter

      @REZNICK 05 actually. Can pick one up pretty cheap now also the SRT4 Caliber is nothing to sneeze at either if you want something more modern.
      @Exitus04
      Shoulda gotten it haha. Mine was a winter DD before i bought it, handled fine in the snow with dedicated winter tires from what they told me. I mean Canadian winters are nothing to sneeze at hahs

      I've been looking around at NSRT4s and all the ones in the Toronto/GTA are either beat to hell and the mint ones are way too over priced. There's some decent CSRT4s but I personally prefer the NSRT

      Yeah most of em will have a good deal of rocker rust from the salt from the winter. I got mine for 2500$ only starting to make perforations in the rocker so body wise she was good but suspension was like completely shot and she needed some tlc in other areas.

      Theres a guy here in edmonton who's selling a orange blast rolling chassis with full interior. 37k on it and hes throwing in the trans and bc coilovers for 3k total. No engine or cooling system though. But for a truly mint car thats not bad lol

      You're talking about a car that hasn't been manufactured in 13 years, but is still in reasonably high demand. If you have one in "mint" condition, you can more or less name your price (withing reason) and eventually somebody will pay it. Limited production vehicles tend to command a fairly decent price. A few weeks ago, I was sorely tempted to buy a 1998 Ford Contour SVT in mint condition with less than 120,000kms on it for $7,500.00. I can find "mint" NSRTs (although who knows from a "private" sale) for less than that in the GTA and they are several years younger.
