    I wouldn't go that far. I have seen the electric supercharger on a few sites. I get the concept, cause that is pretty much what it does, but the process of firing it and only for a few seconds seems alittle suspect.

    Many dyno studies done. In most cases they cause you yo loose horsepower because they only impead the airflow through the intake tube. Nothing more then a 200 dollar computer fan. What the chip does is trick your computer (via a .15 cent resistor) into thinking its getting cooler air then it really is. So the computer advances the timing. Which can be dangerous on a hot summer day. Too much timing not enough fuel is very unhealthy for a engine. Its why you can't run them on forced induction cars. More timing and they go BOOM. Also many good articles on that. Read up before you drink the koolaid.

    As soon as you chip it that is the end of most of the warranties. Anything we have to do when we hook up the computer it sees a change in calibration and flags it.

    Uh; stay away from GENERIC stuff that'll work on "any car truck or suv" .. THAT is a red-flag right there. Might as well buy some blinker fluid while you're at it, ya know?

    Actually the resistor on the IAT " Intake Air Temperature sensor " is an old trick.

    The computer will see the IAT value change and adjust the fuel/air ratio as if it where in a cold winter " thus adding a few milliseconds on the injection duration "

    The above mentionned statement that it will lean out is not correct.

    Also dont play with the MAP " Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor " as this sensor actually tells the computer how much load is on the engine.

    So with a true cold air intake system, the resistor trick is a cheap way to gain 2-5 HP on any vehicle.

    **** Also why dont you all get a low cost ELM 327 OBDII scanner ****

    I have one and use an application called Torque (App store )

    This way you can actually see what you are doing to your car ( and you can clear codes as well )

    BTW i purchased my ELM from Aliexpress.com 15-20$ works with my cell and also from my laptop ( on my laptop i use ScanTouch and Palmer Engineering )
