So my dealership today checks it out of course nothing is wrong and magically they can't feel the shudder or stumbling because it's "not cold out" yet it's 50°F and I can clearly feel it. I wonder if I'm better off just buying the parts myself since they aren't covered anyway

Same exact thing happened to me the first time I took mine to the dealership for this issue. Naturally, after driving it there and dropping it off.....when they went to check it, it didnt do it. The car was warmed up already.

The dealership found it the 2nd time I went up there because I left it with them overnight and specifically told the service advisor to drive it first thing in the morning. That's when they finally felt was I was talking about and found that the mounts were bad.

If you feel you can and have access to a lift, it would definitely be cheaper. If it were me, I would also go with the aftermarket mounts @Exitus04 mentioned earlier in this thread. Only reason I did not was I had the dealership fix it under warranty.
