Everything was covered except oil and dye.

The service advisor called me again later in the day and told me he mispoke earlier. He said that there actually was no oil on the dipstick (he thought previously it was down a quart). So they filled it with oil and told me to drive 50-100 miles then take it back in (They also flashed the car, it actually drives a little smoother now when building boost). As I was leaving, it was running rough so I turned right back around and went inside. I told the guy it was doing it again and he should drive it around the parking lot. He drove it, felt the issue and said that the low oil pressure light came on when he was in it (never came on when I was in it). He said it was stumbling cause they just added oil and it had not been driven yet. So we shall see but I expect it to do the same thing again tomorrow morning.

Also, the 1.4L takes 4 quarts of oil correct? They charged me for 5 quarts.

That is correct. It's not hard to check where the level is now.

      From the FSM:
      Engine Oil (1.4L Turbo Engine)

We recommend you use SAE 5W-40 API Certified Synthetic Engine Oil, meeting the requirements of Material Standard MS-12991 such as MOPAR®, Pennzoil®, and Shell Helix®. Refer to your engine oil filler cap for correct SAE grade.

UPDATE: It's been about 5 days since the dealership had my car. Still doing the sputtering thing when cold. I noticed today on my way back from dinner that there was a lot of smoke coming out of the pipes (more than I've seen before). I stopped at the mailbox and got out to get the mail and that is when I noticed the smoke. I had just driven about 20 mins so car was already warmed up (water temp was about 180, intake temp about 100, it's about 50 degrees outside).

I really don't know what the hell is going on with this car but it is getting on my last nerve. I bought this car because I wanted a reliable car as I had a 2003 VW Golf previously that had over 150,000 miles on it and that thing had all sorts of issues. I guess on the bright side, the car has a powertrain warranty until 100,000.

What color smoke? I wonder if you have a head gasket failure? Is your coolant level down?

Yeah the warranty is all well and great but what about your time back and forth to the dealer who charges you for maintenance items every time you go?

It was in a dark area so I am not real sure if it was white or not. I checked coolant and it is not low. Looks like it's at the same level it's always at. As for the taking time to take the car to the dealership, you are right. That it def a pain. Atleast they dealership shuttles me to and from work haha

Which fuel do you use? I wonder if the winter blend gas is causing performance issue?

I use 93. Not sure about the winter/summer blend thing.

I did drop it off at the dealership again this morning. They are going to see where the oil leak is. Car still runs terrible in the mornings, that has not changed. Hopefully whatever they do today is covered under the powertrain warranty (also got a loaner car today instead of riding the shuttle).

Hope they figure it out. We don't drive our Dart in the winter much (try to keep the salt off of it) but when we do and it is well below freezing, it runs like crap. Most cars thrive in cold weather but my Dart does not. Even after the engine eventually reaches optimum temps, it still has terribly jerky acceleration and just does not want to go.

UDPATE: So the dealership kept the car overnight so they could "feel" what I was talking about with the cold starts in the morning. They now seem to think that the motor mounts are bad. They are not covered under the powertrain warranty so they cost out the door is near $800. I do have a third party warranty also through Fidelity Warranty that should cover replacing the motor mounts. Waiting for the dealership to call me back because all the warranty info is in the glove box (I assume the dealership is supposed to call the warranty company and get this all situated).

Id look into if the dealer can install aftermarket mounts and go with the Deyeme firm or flex rear mount... or hell, you could get all 3 for cheaper than the dealer is going to charge you. (This is all depending on whether your other warranty will cover them)
