Anybody install both the INJEN cai short ram and long version

Got my injen cai last week and installed it as a short ram because of quick and easy install. It is freaking LOUD. Sucking sound,fluttering and bov. Almost so loud that i don't like it. I also have 2.5 straight pipe from my cat back. Was curious if anybody installed both the short ram version and the full cai down in the wheel weld or w/e.

Wanted to know if there is any differnce with sound, mpg's, hp?

I have the tork cai and I notice my car is quicker off the line....and my CAI is not to loud but its not quiet either....the splash shield dampers some of the sound which nice....what I love most is the sucking sound of the air when I picking up speeds...tork's cai does go down into the front bumper.....

I have run both setups. I was curious the same as you and given the outside air temps I can't honestly tell the difference in power. I'm sure when the summer heat comes ill try again.

Like kre8 said, a splash shield will certainly quiet it down. The full length should quiet it down some by moving the intake further away from the cabin, but idk how much it would make a difference. The game of "shoulds"is a funny game.

Luckly it can still be heard from inside and outside the car....I didn't want the the intake to over power the stock exhaust..which I'm about to switch out here shortly..once some other options become more available

I didnt notice a difference in MPGs with either set up. I left it in the wheel well cause it took forever to put it there. Sound wise, from inside the car it wasn't as noticable, but outside it still sounded the same.

thanks for the input. I actually really like the way it sounds i just don't really care for the insane sucking sound while im barely moving throught the rpms. Sounds like i should be hauling ass when im really not. I recomend INJEN's cai to anybody and shout out to turbo tech racing for the great customer service and fast shipping.
