Alright yall I have done the boost mod, intercooler pipes, hand made cone filter air intake, and 3 inch downpipe back kit homemade. With a go pedal. Alright so I will be installing a ecu master det 3 kit off of ebay. Couple of my friends have them on there drift cars and love it. I have my wideband and coming in today and the tuner some time this week. This tuner pretty much does everything timing advance, launch control, fuel management all that jazz. Pretty much just putting this out there because I know there is a lack of tunes for the dart. And if I could help yall out with little to no effort than so be it

BE careful! The MultiAir functions very different than other engines do. From all I've read and seen, MultiAir is like reverse VTEC. Honda motors are built to run in the low RPMs, then in the high RPMs the VTEC kicks in. The MultiAir is designed to run in the high RPMs and the MultiAir is active at low RPMs.

this being a piggyback, the stock ecu controls the intake valves.

the trouble is the car is speed/density which needs compensation for volumetric efficiency which changes with back pressure and intake opening and closing time and engine speed. if multi air was mapped only to rpm you could map the fuel out. but i'm sure it depends on temperatures and other things like load, which can't be measured with just intake pressure because the valve timing events can be so short on this engine it severely effects map signals, the stock computer has some computations for load that aren't as simple as reading intake pressure like the good 'ol days. maybe tork can chime in on parameters that comtrol multiair, or atleast express firsthand how not easy it would be unless the stock computer actually assists in the fuel targets. the other things to consider is that the car has fuel shut off, and it may have a stratified mode. if the car is expecting lean signals under decel and other conditions it's not going to like another computer force feeding the engine fuel. the car is drive by wire throttle. even if you hijack the fuel and spark and wastegate and allow all the trouble codes you can't predict the behavior of the throttle body and anti-surge valve.

if the car was MAF and cable throttle the stock computer couldn't inhibit the function of a piggyback much. all it could do is throw codes... but you are working with a car with a variable VE (by way of intake valve phasing events), drive by wire throttle, and sequential port fuel injection that may be stratified (i know the system supports it but i never logged a lean condition other than decel but that could have to due with my driving too). the sequential injection and extremely early valve closing time in some of the multiair modes help the engine in anti knock..

i honestly don't know if you'll have any luck controlling fueling, and if you do you may not get the results you hope for. if you add boost you may need to alter the signals from the map and or boost sensors which may cause trouble with fueling... a piggyback solution like this could work, infact thet already have the unichip with a compatible harness. but the tuning strategy must be very different from the way this works.

Multiair can be activated by throttle position in this car at any RPM or speed. Anything over about 50% throttle and the computer opens the throttle up all way and lets the multiair control the amount of air coming in via the intake valves. The gas pedal is just used past 50% to control how far open the valves actually open.

Warranty??? What the hell is that I broke that at 100 miles. And as what I can remember they make tools that can rebuild things including engines. Im not asking for yalls approval or anything I am just fillin out this forum for other people that want to do something like this. No one here really knows each others backgrounds so everyone that is quick to judge a forum I laugh at.

Thanks for trying this product and keeping us informed. Positive or negative results we'd like to hear them both.

okay yall i have finally had to time to sit behind the computer and knock this out. so recap i have a 2 inch intake syterm, 1.5 inch hot intercooler, 2 inch intercooler cold, boost leak mod, empty cat, 3 inch from downpipe back no muffler no res. i have to of my engine mount replaced with poly, a go pedal. and now this tuner so i did some street pulls to get this info. Text Line Plot Diagram Font
this is just the car no tune just upgrades. okay i did 3 pulls and the averages are 156.33 horse, 265.33 torque. Text Line Plot Slope Diagram
than after a quick tune 146.33 horse, 244 torque. but after the minor tune it felt more like a car but were having problems with the boost going up and than down. so a boost controler or a boost solid is in the works. i plan on keeping it at 20 psi. we are still tuning and also waiting on the company to get back to us about the ignition questins that we have. i will coniune to keep yall up to date and if anyone has questions just let me know and im sure i can take a screen shot

.

That's why I tell people you are not gaining anything you could hope to feel by going cat-less. Especially a bad idea because massive pollution is not your friend, or mine.

Thats only 13 ft/pds more than my dart with intercooler piping only... I should have around 240 though soon with a tork tune, pp, intake, and exhaust. Hp will be up above the 200 area, pressure piping only I had 160 on the dot...

So your curve is better..but PLEASE! Explain to me how the hell you have LESS WHP with all those mods and this supposed tune, than a STOCK dart...I don't get it...you have a little more torque. But that torque is achieved mainly from just the bolt ons...so your doing something SERIOUSLY wrong there...just saying....

Okay first I dont care about any of yalls opinions I am trying something new that none of yall havr even thought about trying. Secondary yall can keep adding up your horsepower numbers from your bolt ons and call that your power numbers. Third Yes my numbers arnt anything tk call home about and im not saying they are but im only at 12 psi boost only reason dart has the power it has is because of the 22 psi stock so once I get to 22 psi and if my numbers still arnt impressive than yall can talk all the shit that u want. K thanks and gig em

Dude do your self a favor and return your tuner that you got on EBay and get your self a custom tune from Tork, with those bolt ons you should get at least 185Hp to the wheels and 220 lbs of torque.... Just sayin' if it were me... But I ain't and I don't care what y'all think ya hear!!

Holy crap you guys. Who cares if he can get a tune from whoever or buy a preset box from Timbuktu and have it done for him. You all have completely missed the point. He wants to do it HIMSELF and he has found a way to do it HIMSELF.

He already said he turned everything down so he can start from a place he knows is safe for the car anf turn it up from there. Sounds like a good idea to me. So its kind of pointless to give him shit about lower numbers since hetold us from square one the numbers would be low at first.

It doesnt really matter either if he doesnt get the same numbers as somebody else. If he can make more power than stock make it drive like he wants thats success that he got on his own, didnt have to buy it from anybody.
